When Lisa stepped inside Mia's room for post-Angioplasty consultation, the first thing she heard was Jennie's voice and for the first few seconds, she thought she was hallucinating from lack of sleep.
"There was once a purple dinosaur
who lived at the top of the world,"
Jennie's voice resounded.
She's really here, Lisa tried to calm
herself down. She's storytelling?
"MAMA!!" The kids shouted in
chorus when they finally noticed her standing by the door.
Apparently, Sevi has led the group of kids to take Jennie and visit Mia. And then they asked her to tell them a story, like how Lisa usually does when they crowd around her during check-ups.
Jennie was visibly fluttered by her
presence but regained her composure as Lisa sat down on one of the couches.
"Continue, Miss Storyteller," she
winked at her.
Immediately, the full attention of the kids shifted back at her and Jennie internally panicked at how to resume the crazy story she was weaving earlier.
"... this purple dinosaur is very very
handsome and has a very very
big...tail. The name of this dinosaur
is Barney. Barney is very sad because he lives in a kingdom full of gummy worms who have five hearts but one day..he met a very beautiful, very charming, very kind pokemon named Pikachu"
Lisa almost busted a gut from laughing out loud and all the kids glared at her for interrupting the very intense love story between the dinosaur and the pokemon.
"To be continued next time, kids!"
Jennie proclaimed, and the kids
groaned in frustration.
Lisa marveled at how easily she won the kids' usually elusive interest.
Something tugged at her heart when Jennie whispered a 'Get well soon' on tiny Mia's ear. She stood up and held her hand and hurriedly led her out the room, away from the kids, and straight into her office so she can have
her all to herself. She locked the door shut and hungrily kissed her on the mouth.
"---Lisa"
"God, Jennie---I...mmm...I missed
you-"
"---mmmmm...I missed you too---"
They laughed into each other's lips,
breathless.
"You sexy pokemon, you." She
whispered hoarsely as she kissed her ear, her neck.
Jennie lightly punched her on
the chest, then her hands started
caressing Lisa's stomach, all the way down to the waist of her pants. She smiled when she felt Lisa's breathing hitch as her hands went lower and lower. And then she finally found what she was looking for.
"Gotcha" she exclaimed upon
successfully retrieving Lisa's phone
from her pocket.
This girl is heartless, Lisa sighed.
After fiddling through her phone for a minute, Jennie walked closer to Lisa again and placed the phone back on her pants. She pushed her down on her swivel chair and unceremoniously sat on her lap.
Heartless. Heartless. Heartless. Lisa
kept on hyperventilating inside her
mind.
Jennie wrapped her arms around Lisa's neck, her eyes piercing through her soul as mercilessly as the precision of daggers.
"Dr. Manoban, I think something's
wrong with my heart" she
seductively crooned at her.
And then just when Lisa couldn't see and think straight anymore, Jennie started unbuttoning her blouse agonizingly slow. With every button, it was Lisa who was becoming more and more undone.
"Jennie, what are you--"
"Dr. Manoban, this hurts," she
pointed at her now half-exposed
chest.
BEIGE. SHE'S WEARING BEIGE
LINGERIE. FUCK THIS WILL BE THE DEATH OF ME.
Jennie slightly twisted her body away from her and fumbled through her desk drawer where she finally found her stethoscope. She handed it to her.
"Can you please check my heartbeat, doctor?" She purred.
You want to play, I'll play, Jennie Kim.
"That's not necessary, love,"
she grinned at her, putting the
stethoscope away and leaving it
on the table. She wrapped her arms
around her waist to pull her closer, so she could feel her firmness for herself. When she felt Jennie squirm a little, she smiled at her wickedly, licking her lips. And then in a swift motion, she proceeded to undo the rest of the buttons of her blouse and placed her left ear on top of her breasts, to listen to her heart. She smiled when she heard it loud and clear---her heartbeat has spiked up at her touch.
"Miss Jennie Kim, your erratic
heartbeat is a clear symptom that
you are madly in love" she declared
triumphantly.
Jennie stared at her wordlessly, still
flushed at the suddenness of her
revenge.
Have I gone too far? Lisa guiltily
chastised herself.
Her eyes softened as she started
buttoning up her blouse again and
enveloped her inside her embrace
afterwards. She started to worry when she felt that her heart is still beating wildly.
"Was that too much, Jennie? I'm so
sorry," she apologized, kissing her
forehead.
"No...It's just...." she stuttered,
trembling.
Shit Manoban, you scared her. Shit.
"I... I can't wait to give myself to you," Jennie confessed, shy and brave and sincere.
Lisa felt her breathing come to a pause at how beautiful she looked in that moment. She was however, blindsided, because in that brief standstill where she let her guard down, Jennie started unbuttoning her shirt too and mimicked the same exact action she did. Her chest drummed at the mere
contact of her face pressed on her
naked skin.
"Why, doctor. Your erratic heartbeats indicate you are madly in love too," Jennie smiled, victorious.
And then she buttoned up her shirt
back too and kissed her sweetly on
the lips.
"You pretty handsome dinosaur, you." She.laughed as she stood up and walked out of her office.
Lisa sat still on her doctor's chair for a very long time. When she opened her phone, she was surprised to see that Jennie hasn't changed her wallpaper after all. Her face hugging the teddy
bear still looked back at her from the glowing light of her phone screen.
A few heartbeats later, Jennie sent her a message.

Jennie, I'm sorry, Okay? If I'm such a jerk most of the time. I don't know how you're still here, even if I've probably done nothing but give you so many reasons to run away.
