Steve continued to call for Dustin. But all of you could only hear Dustin, Lucas and Erica talking in presumably another room...
"Guys I just had an epiphany about all this..." Dustin spoke up
"What exactly? The whole reason why we're stuck here?" Lucas answered
"Spit it out then." Erica grew impatient
"So what if Vecna is just killing off his victims not by physically doing anything... but physiologically like putting something the victim into a situation they feel the most trauma in?" Dustin told
"Ok so how the hell are we going to explain that to the cops Dustin?" Lucas asked
"We don't stupid! Take it into DnD terms ok? So if a demogorgon is just the mere pawn right? Your average henchman?" Dustin continued to explain
"Right." Erica agreed with Dustin's observation
"Yeah but what about the Mind Flayer and Vecna?" Lucas brought up
"Ok so if Vecna is helping the Mind Flayer by opening these Gates and El is our mage closing them... This is a 5 star Lich we're dealing with El's the only one with a decent match up against someone like him. If he has powers to mindlurk... We'd all be dead without El." Dustin answered
You turned to face the group as you heard their voices growing fainter.
"It's exactly like our DnD campaign we did... Only Vecna has no general, that was Kas. I think we could get the upper hand but we still need a way out." You replied to the group
"Dustin sure knows what's going on... Wonder why I never made him leader?" Eddie commented silently
"Is that jealously I hear?" You asked
"You didn't hear anything!" Eddie stuttered over himself
"Wait the chandelier is glowing? They've got to be still in here!" Steve told as he stared to the chandelier glowing brightly
"It has particles of some sort coming from it... it doesn't look like light but what if?" Nancy wondered as she outstretched her hand out to the chandelier
"Maybe we could tamper with it until we hear something from them? It feels like sunlight..." You suggested
Everyone reached for the chandelier to see if would do anything
"Did you guys see that?" Dustin asked
"It's probably faulty wiring." Lucas told dismissively
"Hmm. Maybe morse code could work? Do any of you know morse code?" Nancy questioned
"I do actually. I learned how to in case I got lost. I'll try an S.O.S" Eddie spoke up as he did patterned signals to the chandelier
"No look at the light! It's morse code... but this is an S.O.S signal..." Dustin paid close attention to the chandelier
"Why an S.O.S? Unless..." Lucas wondered
"If everyone is stuck in the Upside Down. We have to answer back to them!" Dustin quickly acted
