Sometimes I hate myself.

Right now I hate how right I was about everything. The Monaco GP had been a dream, I was hella confident off the back of my win in Imola and it had led to me absolutely dominating my proxy home GP despite Mercedes bringing upgrades that everyone had thought were going to put them into the top spot, but I had gotten the pole position lap and then race day had lead every lap of the race, only one step off the Grand Slam by missing out on the fastest lap which Max had taken.

Then another pole position for me in Spain which I cemented in the sprint race, however, lost out on the top two steps of the podium after Max and I had been allowed to race each other and while we didn't hit each other, it had led to some rather aggressive driving from Max and aggressive defending from me as I fought to keep my podium and we let the Mercedes and Ferrari of Lewis and Charles fight a while ahead of us on the track. That had copped the team a lot of criticism because we could have easily taken the 1-2 as we had both been at the top of our game all weekend and instead we were 3-4. My podium streak was very alive as everyone liked to remind me of what I could tell was becoming Max's growing displeasure. My lead in the championship had grown rather considerably over the last two weekends and I was 38 points ahead of Max after that race, a fact that I had heard his dad rather loudly emphasise to him in the garage after the race in Spain, for all the team to hear.
