Finally one of my favourite times of the year was here or at least in my opinion it was. In all honesty I felt bad for people who hated winter I mean, missing out on such a fun time of year must be miserable. The only thing I didn't really like about winter was probably the exams on the last week or so before school was out for Christmas. These exams this year however were pretty important since we had our SAT's in just a couple months and these exams would show exactly where our gaps were and how much we had left to do.

Me, Peick, Annie, Connie, Reiner and sometimes Sasha usually get together this time of season to do group study sessions for the exams. Most of us were idiots but luckily we were idiots with smart friends who helped us pass, specifically Annie and Peick. Annie had quite a militant way of teaching where she would bombard us with questions until they were drilled into our brains and not let us leave the study sessions until we had the model answers while Peick had a softer approach of explaining from the basics on how to get things step by step. It may not have been perfect but it worked.

We always did these little study sessions in our schools library since it was literally massive. Apparently a couple years back some genius kids who went here won this huge tri-state area competition and the school got crazy funding for the study facilities like the library. The mahogany bookshelves filled with thousands of books stretched across two floors with ladders that zoomed around the entire floor to reach the top shelves, several different IT rooms with the latest computers, three private study rooms with sofa's, interactive whiteboards and even a drinks station with all the stuff provided. To cut it short, the place was awesome and definitely helped encourage people to study there or it certainly did for me and my friends.

We'd all agreed to meet there after school finished and we'd usually end up staying until the library closed or we'd all get hungry and leave to get food. Most of us had been in different lessons last period but luckily we booked the study room we always used so there was no rush.

I was the last to get there since I'd been all the way over in gym getting in some extra training. It had been harder for me to train since it was getting colder and darker with every day into December which meant my dad wouldn't allow me to do runs on my own "just incase" and Reiner hated the cold. Honestly how does a guy that beefy get so cold anyway?

By the time I finally started to head over to the library it was already half an hour after school ended so I'd already accepted that I was going to be greeted by annoyed threats or even an empty packet to my face, what I hadn't expected was an extra four people (Eren, Armin, Mikasa and Jean) in our study room who, according to Connie, were joining us for the next few hours. Apparently Sasha was supposed to book them a study room but had forgotten so Peick and Connie had offered them to study with us since we had the big 10 person study room for only five of us.

I sat down at the only seat left on the table which was luckily the seat I prefer on the bottom end of the table but unluckily was next to Connie and opposite Armin. Connie barely ever payed attention and would just make jokes the whole time while Armin was Armin with his smug face and big brains who would probably just make fun of him the entire time.

"So you finally showed up, it's nice to know my study sessions aren't the only ones your late too" Armin said to me as I sat down and started to unpack my notebook and SAT prep papers

"Aww you thought you were special? Shame."

"I am special, I'm a genius has it taken you that long to figure it out? Wow you really are dumb."

"Could you please shut up im trying to study because, incase it's taken you this long to figure it out, not everyone's a genius which is why I'm being forced to sit in a room with you for the next three hours"
