My first week of school was nearly over already, it's funny how time flies like that. One moment its Monday and the next thing I know the school day of Thursday is over. I wasn't mad though, the first week of school was always so boring in my opinion, just a bunch of welcome back stuff. The up side of the first week back is seeing who changed over summer, who got tans, who got boyfriends, who were friends and who were enemies.

I like to think I changed quite a bit over the holidays, in both appearance and personality.

I started to pack up my things as the bell rang so I could start heading towards the library where me and Armin had agreed to meet for the weekly tutoring sessions. I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous, I wasn't the best with new people and the conversation we had in English on Monday was probably the longest conversation I ever had with him which is pretty odd because our friend groups often merged for get-togethers and such.

As I walked to the library I ran into my friends. We exchanged friendly hellos and such while walking towards the exit, wishing I could leave with them. We ended up arranging to meet up on the weekend which I was looking forward to. Usually if I had no plans I would just lounge around the house all weekend eating junk and watching SpongeBob so I preferred to be hanging out with people. I reluctantly said goodbye and headed towards the library.

I arrived at the library at around three-thirty-five and waited another ten minutes for 'his majesty' to finally appear. While I waited I decided to look around the library. If I was being completely honest I didn't really come here apart from group study sessions. There were a couple people here and there, some studying, some reading and some making out in the little nooks and crannies of the place. Gross. Eventually I spotted some messy blonde hair casually strut in and called him over to the table I had found myself sat down at. He sat down next to me and grabbed a book out of his bag 'algebra'.

We started doing some basic stuff and about half an hour in I was prepared to spend the rest of my life in a McDonalds if it meant I could leave and go home. Sometimes I just find it so hard to concentrate and even though I was really trying I just didn't get it.

"we've been over it like five times cant we just accept my job offer at McDonalds and go home?" I pleaded with him

"damn road runner you quit that easily?" He retorted

"wait, road runner?"

"yeah 'cause you know from the cartoon with the coyote and it chases the roadrunner because you like do track or whatever."

"You stalking me arlert?" I asked with a cocked brow and smug smile

"No, I've just seen you running on the tracks a lot, I chill on the bleachers during frees and lunches sometimes. You really wanna give up after one try because you cant be bothered to do quadratic equations? Exactly so come on."I sighed and we continued.

The session overran a little but overall I would say it went ok. We definitely weren't besties or anything but I could definitely talk to him. I found out he like loves marine biology and psychology, his favourite drink is Lemon Fanta (weirdo) and he has a grey cat called Tink, he showed me a picture and I can't lie she's cute but definitely not as cute as my baby Vera. He seemed like a pretty chill person but he could one-hundred percent be an asshole at times.

We both headed towards the car park while chatting some more before going our separate ways. I was actually kind of enjoying talking to him which was strange because I thought we were completely different but it turned out we were quite similar. I enjoyed talking to him and I wanted him to enjoy talking to me too. Apart from his boisterous front he seemed like he could be someone I genuinely wanted to be friends with. By the time I finished talking to him about my favourite actor, Jennifer Anniston, I had reached my car.

As he said goodbye he touched my shoulder and I felt an explosion in my stomach. I suddenly started to feel ill, it was so weird. I had never felt this before, my chest was all tight, my stomach felt like I'd been shaken harder than a maraca and I started to burn up. My heart was racing and pumping out of my chest, such a painful feeling. I wanted it to stop. What was going on?

'oh god please don't tell me I'm coming down with something'

I decided to try and just ignore the feeling bubbling up within me and turned on the radio. My phone was dead from going on it all day so I had to listen to just some regular radio. I was so lost in the clouds I didn't even realise the red light in front of me. I came to a sudden stop which caused my whole body to jolt forward slightly. 'Shit! What the hell is with me today?' Well at least I didn't crash or anything. My dad would of killed me if anything happened to this car after the amount of strings he pulled to get it.

When I got home I stuck my phone on charge and got changed into some more comfortable clothes. I had a few random notifications from random apps like subway surfers and Wattpad. One notification did catch my attention however.

Aarlert19: yo you get home safe?

I sent a reply as a huge smile crept onto my face. There was that feeling again. That pit in my stomach and the risen temperature. I hated being sick so I took some ibuprofen and went on with my evening.

little did I know...
