you frown deeply, recalling the events of the previous day.
after all that, you ran and ran and ran, off in god knows what direction into some random forest with nothing but trees and wildlife populating it.
you lean back against a log, your dress dirty with soil and slightly scuffed, you play with the hem of it, eyes brimming slightly with tears.

you squeeze your eyes shut, holding your head in pain as it throbs, thoughts chiming like a...

your eyes snap open again, except you were no longer in the empty forest. you were now in some ugly, red, sticky land with clocks and other things flying in the sky.
your eyes go wide, hands moving down from your head as you slowly sit up.
you gulp, clenching your fist as you take a worried step forward, wet ground squelching underneath your foot.
your insides feel as though they froze as a slimy hand lands on your shoulder.
you spin around in an instant, getting only a small glimpse of a face covered in vines and slime, eyes glaring and intimidating.
you let out a scream, blinking. but once your eyes had opened, you were back in your regular surroundings, your scream slowly dying off.
you gulp, you had seen that gross face previously, only a few days ago.
what was that place? it looked sort of like a house of sorts.
you shake your head, stomach grumbling hungry, begging for food.
picking your emotions up, you stick your chin up slightly before walking out of the forest and onto the street.
you pass by a few people on the pavement who all gave you judgemental looks before approaching a store.
you scan it, nodding in satisfaction before entering.
all the staff's eyes fell on you immediately, the sight of you already telling them what they presumed they needed to know. you were mot likely a homeless, coming to steal their food.
a male worker eyes you as you pass him and another female worker, heading for the freezer section.
you swing open the door, eyes shining as you spot boxes of your favourite food, 'eggos'.
you go to grab some but a man's voice stops you.
"are you lost?"
you glance back at the male worker who looked slightly annoyed.
you roll your eyes slightly, "fuckhead"
that was a word richie had taught you, and by the appalled look on the man's face, you knew it wasn't nice. but that was good, this man didn't deserve nice. he was mean.
without hesitation, you start piling multiple boxes of eggos into your arms, the man watching in shock.
you close the freezer, side stepping the man and walking passed the tills and for the doors.
the man chases after you, "hey! you need to ay for those! hey! hey! thief! thief!"
you cause him to crash into a woman's trolley, smirking slightly.
you exit through the doors, the doors closing behind you and the glass inside smashing as they shut.
