"I know you're trying to scare me, Tee." You say loud enough for him to hear. Again, you're only met with silence. Long, tense silence.

The leaves up ahead scratch together and you look up, heart leaping into your throat when Ja'Marr steps around the corner with an animalistic grin on his face.

"Tee isn't here anymore."

You suck in a deep breath and take a quick look around. There's no escape. Well, that's a lie. There are many places to escape, but There's no escape from Ja'Marr. No one escapes Ja'Marr. He's too quiet, too stealthy, too fast.

"Hey, baby," he purrs, smile becoming more playful. The sight makes your heart race. He's too hot, and he knows it. "It's just me and you."

Smiling, you begin to take slow steps back, one's that he takes forward. The distance between you never changes, it can't when you're dancing with each other from far away.

"You told them that no one but you can get me, didn't you?" You ask, knowing him better than anyone else.

He shakes his head, never taking his eyes off of you. "I told them nothing. They decided that themselves."

"Those little—" your back meets a wall of corn and the distance you've kept is broken. Ja'Marr gets too close for comfort and you have to quickly decide—run left or right.

His smile turns evil again. "Run while you still can."

Right it is. You turn and run without stopping. You can hear him getting closer, feel him breathing down the back of your neck. He has to be taunting you. He's too fast to not be taunting you. He can keep up with you, run twice as fast as you can. At any moment, he's going to grab you.

Every time you think he's going to grab you, he lets out a laugh and only touches you—long enough to startle you. But when he does finally go in for the kill, he goes all the way.

You go falling towards the ground, Ja'Marr's strong arms wrapped around you. Just before you hit the ground, he twist himself around, back smacking the ground and taking the impact of the fall.

"Gotcha!" He says in triumph. You fight against him, one last attempt to break free and escape. You fail, very miserably. He's so much stronger. The size difference between his arms and your arms is breathtaking, especially in moments like this.

You don't have a chance to do much of anything. He flips you over, pinning you down under his weight. His hands find your wrists and his legs trap your hips.

With your chest rapidly rising and falling, you smile up at him, breathless. "I knew I wouldn't outrun you," you whisper, wishing your hands were free. You wanted to kiss him so badly. "You've got cheetah speed."

He leans down closer, loosens his grip on your wrists. A pretty smirk spreads across his face and now you really want to kiss him. "Plus my prey was looking real delicious."

His lips are just inches from yours and you strain your neck to get closer, wanting his lips on yours. Softly chuckling, he finally closes the distance and kisses you, letting go of your wrists to let you get your hands on him. Now free, your hands find the back of his neck and you kiss him with all you've got, uncaring of whoever may stumble upon the scene. The game was the last thing on your mind.

"Ew, gross!" You and Ja'Marr pull away from each other, turning your heads to the newcomer. Logan is standing there, his face twisted in disgust at what his eyes are witnessing. "The goal of the game is to tag each other, not eat each other's faces off."

The three of you stare at each other, saying nothing for a long time. Then you turn back to Ja'Marr. "Wait, I'm a hunter now, right?"

A half-smile, half-smirk curls up on his lips. "Get him, babe. He's all yours." He moves off of you and lets you go before Logan can process what's going on.

"You're mine, Wilson!" You warn, rushing after the stumbling, panicked linebacker. Ja'Marr is loudly laughing behind you while Logan is repeatedly swearing in front of you. You wish Joe was here to witness this.

Little did you know, he was watching through the corn, stifling giggles. And behind him, Tee was evilly smiling, waiting for his quarterback to turn around.

Okay, so this was so much better than my first Halloween imagine—This is the kinda stuff I like to write though (horror/thriller type stuff) which is probably why I feel like I wrote it so well. I might be the only one who thinks that, so I'll let y'all decide if this is any good or not. I hope y'all liked it! My goal every time is to bring all of you joy with each imagine.

Thank you for everything y'all do! I'm very grateful for each and every one of you. You're all absolutely amazing and you all deserve so much happiness. I hope you have a wonderful day/night! I love y'all very much! 🖤
