"...Yes, of course!... There must have been some miscommunication then... We're under a lot of pressure... Yes, I apologize for the confusion..."
Park Jimin resisted the urge to call out a subtle, accentuated 'moron' before the instance of hanging up his phone. Looking at the time, he let out a sigh as it marked another day when he couldn't attend his lunch in time. He checked the papers in his hands, to see if they are arranged according to the dates and left the archive room to submit the reports to his boss's table.
Jimin was greeted by a few other employees while he walked down the hallway.
"Mr. Park, did you tell him about the lobby?"
"I did. He blew away the idea."
"Mr. Park, the water filters are down in the reception..."
"Bring your own water bottle Han."
"Mr. Park, the Lee's are asking for a visit. Shall I approve them?"
"The high court will decide that." Jimin halted on his track to turn around and face the crowd speedbreaking just behind him, "Speaking of high court, do you guys have any idea where I can find him?"
"In his office?"
"Thanks Aria... "Jimin grimaced, " Didn't even think about it!"
Entering the lift, Jimin tapped his foot on the floor while keeping his face expressionless. He started counting...
There are three things he needs to notify his boss about - the approval for visit of the Lee's, the upcoming meeting with the worker's union and obviously, the broken water filter in the reception.
The idea of painting the lobby walls is bullshit, so he excluded that by himself.
The door bell chimed and he exited the lift, heading straight towards the chief executive officer's room at the end of the corridor. Not even bothering to knock, Jimin rushed inside to let out his frustrated ramble of an empty stomach, but he only found the janitor Han.
"Hey Mr. Han? Any idea where the boss is?"
"He said he needed to visit the conference room."
Jimin rolled his eyes. He checked his pocket to search for his phone but didn't find it. He sighed, realizing he forgot it in the archive room.
The conference room was not very far, yet distant enough to test Jimin's patience. He ran his feet again, feeling like a parent who lost his child and after reaching the destination when he didn't find a single hair of his boss, Jimin concluded he has had it for the day.
"Mr. Park? I think he's still at the reception area." Sohee timidly spoke from the other side of the table.
"Which is on the ground floor..." Jimin said to himself while exiting the conference room.
After reaching the ground floor, Jimin followed his intuition and straight went to ask the receptionist instead of turning the tiles on the floor.
"Hi there, was Mr. Kim here a while ago?"
"Yes sir. He said to tell the employees that he'll be in his office if anyone needs."
"Of course..." Jimin smiled sickeningly sweet at the woman and slowly went towards the lift again. He greeted the person inside, pressed the button and squatted without a bother in the world. He waited with his arse clenched till the door bell chimed and headed back to square one again; with dark rainclouds rumbling above his head.
A loud voice from inside the room stopped Jimin on his track.
"...I swear on my life, I'll chop off my own dick if you bring that up again..."
