ch. 5

y/n's pov

I was mad, not just at Daniel but at Ali too. I shouldn't be mad at Daniel, but i'm hurt. I hop in the shower and start to cry. I know we had just met but I think I really like him. I know he'll never like me.

I couldn't sleep at all that night, Daniels and Alis kiss kept rewinding in my head, it made me want to cry. But it also made my heart burn with hatred towards Ali. The dirty smile she gave me. She knew exactly what she was doing and I wasn't going to let her keep doing that to me. Eventually I had fallen asleep, but until super late though.

It was the first day of Junior year. I wasn't excited, two more years until I am out of this shit hole. I was so sleep deprived. I haven't gotten enough sleep these last couple of weeks. My sleep schedule was fucked up. I wanted to look good today so I curled my hair, put on some makeup and jewelry, and put on a pair of ripped jeans and a graphic tee. I tied up my high top converse and headed out the door. "Bye mom!" "Bye sweetie, have a good day!" my mom yells from the kitchen. I walk out and to my surprise, I see Daniel standing right in front of my door.

"Hey y/n, you excited for school" he says awkwardly. "Oh uh not really" i reply. "What's wrong? You alright?" "i'm fine Daniel don't worry about it, I gotta get going" i say walking down the stairs meeting Freddy by his car. "Y/n wait! what's all this about?" "I don't know what your talking about. I say, annoyed at this point. "Look I know something's wr-" "DANIEL! i'm fine."

Daniels pov

i have no clue what y/n is upset about. "hey man, you need a ride? Freddy asks. I look at y/n in the car, she's looking out the window with an upset look on her face. "uh yeah, i appreciate it" "its no problem, hop in" As I get in the car, I look at y/n, she looks back at me and we held eye contact for a split second, before she looked away. I felt bad, but i've got no clue what this was about.

y/n's pov

We arrived at the school and I stormed off into the big building, leaving Daniel behind. I go to my locker and start storing my books and other things in there. As I shut it, i get startled by someone standing behind the door of my locker. It was Daniel. I groaned and turn away to leave, when suddenly, he grabs my hand and pulls me back. "Can we please just talk" he says. "what do you want" "Why are you so mad at me? Did I do something or.." he asks. "Can we talk about this later Larusso? I don't want to talk about it right now." i say. "no, just tell me." he demands. "fine, i'm mad because we were having such a good time yesterday" i say, trying to continue before Daniel cuts me off. "that's why your so mad? Really y/n-" he says. "NO! I'm mad because you left me for Ali. Are we just gonna act like we didn't almost kiss yesterday?" i say. "no, but we can make up for it now." he says. "what-" i get cut off by his lips touching mine. My eyes widen in shock. I close my eyes and start kissing him back. We both pull away and made deep eye contact. "I'll see you after class." He says, winking. That was so hot.
