Kiana and her bestfriend Kalani , begin walking down the long block that they call "The lit spot" everyone used to be down there from moms, kids, and even grandparents. On this block everyone gotten along , there was never any drama here.

As they were walking they heard a lot of commotion going on but they didn't mind it they knew it was probably somebody's mom yelling at them. they continued walking before they heard loud gunshots getting closer and closer

"kiana get down"she heard her mother yell but once that first bullet grazed her arm and hit her bestfriend in her chest she froze.

Kiana woke up to her loud alarm waking her up titled "SCHOOL!" she groned like she does everyday and slowly got out of bed. The years haven't been easy for her . yeah she was smart , had alot of friends, and gotten good grades but she just wasn't happy with life anymore

she walked into her bathroom connected to her room , and begin washing her face with her face cream. she put her long curly black hair into a messy bun at the top of her head. she turned the water on to medium hot before stepping in the shower.

Her phone 'dinged' a couple time letting her know she was getting text messages but she didn't care. She let the warm water drip down her body letting out a soft moan.

She grabbed her dove body wash before washing her body from her neck to her toes , then she grabbed her strawberry kiwi smelling body scrub

After she washed her hair and deep conditioned it she stepped out the shower letting the cold breeze Pearce her skin. Goosebumps made their way on her legs as she grabbed a towel wrapping it around her slim body.

She looked in her big vanity mirror sitting over her sink made for 2 people and rubbed her hand over her scar that has been left there 10 years ago. It stretched slightly the older she had gotten but doesn't look bad. She calls that her 'Battle Scar'

She shook out the flashbacks she was getting and walked into her walk-in closet.

She grabbed a black graphic t-shirt , some light blue jeans and her Valentine's Day dunks sense the shirt had pink in it

She gotten dressed and put her Mac book, iPhone charger, books, and school supplies in her book-bag.

She then grabbed her small pink duffle bag that she used for gym and put her shots, sports bra, water bottle , lotion, and deodorant in before zipping it up and throwing it over her shoulder, carrying her bookbag in her hand as she walked downstairs

She saw her brother sitting at the island along with his friends

"Heyy kiana" her brother's bestfriend jaylin said waving at her making her was back.

She tapped her brother; Keon and asked if he was gonna take her to school but obviously he wasn't paying attention. She rolled her eyes, graded her stuff and made her way to the bus stop.

She didn't mind taking the bus , she just didn't like how she had to walk down 4th st which was what she used to call 'lit block'
