Steven Universe: Forever Topaz

Chapter 1 - Waking Up

Beach City had been quiet these past few days. Not a single attack from a rogue gem. That was until midday of Wednesday afternoon. A gem centipede was seen in town chasing a girl with light skin, orange hair, and amber-colored eyes. The girl wore a white t-shirt with a yellow star on it and a long, light orange glove that went all the way up her right arm. She was scared at what was chasing her. She didn't even know what was chasing her. All she knew was to run from it, but something about this monster seemed familiar as if it happened in the past. But she had no memory of her past. Suddenly a bolt of instinct struck her. The girl with orange hair spun around.

"Leave me alone, now!" she shouted as a glow shimmered from her chest. She pulled the glove down and the gem shone brighter. As if it were natural she pulled a sword out of the gem. The blade was made of silver and decorated with yellow topazes, the handle and pommel were also made of topaz. The weapon of the fallen Crystal Gem. Topaz. She raised her sword and drove it through the gem monster that must have lost it's ability to maintain a humanoid form long ago. The centipede disappeared and a green gem fell to the ground. Panting, the girl's sword disappeared and she dropped to her knees

"Topaz...that must be my name.. but what exactly am I doing here? And how did I get here? Is this where I'm from, or is it a place of exile?" She said quietly under her breath.
