By this point, I was already running. Nothing, I thought, nothing ever goes right. Forst I forget to put on my perfume, then I forget my keys, and now I'm running late. Shit.

As I was about to pass out from running, I saw her. There she was. She was sitting on the bench 5 meters away. To say that she was beautiful would be an insult. Now, don't get me wrong, she still is beautiful, but my thoughts of her have changed, a lot.

I slowly walked over. She was sitting on the bench, two blue eyes tracking me every move, as she ate the last of her pick-and-mix. I walked over to her and sat next. She was even prettier this close. If I had a bit more confidence I would definitely knee down and ask her to marry me this instant.

"So, uhh..." She finally spoke, swallowing the candy.

"Alex", I said. Of course she didn't remember my name. Next to her I look like a prick.

"Oh, yes, Alex", she muttered. "Wanna go and buy some ice cream?"

"Oh, uhm. Yeah, sure." I was taken a bit back and I knew she could see it. She could read me like an open book.

"Don't worry, there's a truck right over there. There's also a bench"

She got up and looked down at ne. Her eyes were demanding that I get up. And so I did. We walked over to the ice cream truck.

"What flavors do you want?" The man asked, creeping me out a little. She, of course, noticed it and took my hand in hers. I could feel my heart beating so fast, that I thought it would explode.

"I want bubblegum." She said. She looked so cold, like she didn't even realize we were holding hands.

"Sorry girl, I don't have that one. There's oreo one, if you want though."

I looked over at her and, oh my god, her face just dropped. By her look, I could tell that she was having none of it. She let go of my hand and started tearing up a little.

"Hey, are you alright..?" Right then, she was full of tears. Her mascara was all over her cheeks. Crying lightning. I quickly shook up myself and started comforting her.

"Hey, hey. It's alright. Come on here." I pulled her in for a hug. "We can take another flavor, it's fine."

"No! I want the bubblegum!"

"Look, we can go over to my place. I can make you some ice cream. Any flavor you want!" I didn't know how to calm her down, but this seemed to work.

"Really? Any flavor?" I watched as her face lit up.

"Yup. Any." She started jumping around and giggling, like a little kid. To be fair, it was absolutely adorable.

She sat by the window with her cup of ice cream. Just then, I realized it started raining. She seemed to have noticed it before, though, because she was already staring outside. I looked over. I could barely make out anything because of rain, but I, for sure, did see the same ice cream truck.

I knew that, because I saw her smiling. But not the cute little ha ha smile. It was the devilish smile you do when you see karma getting back at people.

It wasn't until this fall that I heard of her again. To make the matters worse, once again it was the same rainy afternoon.

I heard the doorbell ring so I went to open it. Not gonna lie, I was hoping she wouldn't come, but at the same time I missed her eyes.

"Listen, Alex, I..."

"You've lost everyone now, haven't you? That's why you came back to me, right?" I stopped her. She was all wet, head to toe, and I could tell that she's been walking for a while.

"Alex, I'm so sorry-" she continued.

"No, you're just sorry because you're all alone. I'm not falling for your shit anymore."

"I swear, it's not like that!" She was screaming. I just noticed she was crying. I sighed.

"Listen, it's done. I don't want to see you ever again. And now you're back just because nobody wants to put up with you. Am I right?"

She was silent. Not a single word.

"Exactly. Now, goodbye."

"Wait, no! Alex, I love you!" I shut the door. She was getting very annoying right now. I am not a fool, not anymore.

Fuck her and her stupid little "crying lightning".
