I was glad I started school on Friday, because now it's Saturday. I was just sitting bored in my room, so I decided to go to the park. It really wasn't that far at all, so I walked. It's so much warmer here. There wasn't very many people there, to be honest, which made it even more peaceful. I got onto the swing, and started.. well swinging.
I saw Reed and his friend. I thought of maybe quickly walking back to my house before they noticed me, but I was too late. His friend came up to me, "Hey aren't you the new girl?" "Uhh... oh... um, yeah. Yeah, I am." I smiled nervously. "Oh, well, I'm Austin." He smiled. "And, this is my friend, Reed." Reed nodded, and smiled. "Well, are you going to tell us your name?" Austin asked jokingly. "Oh... right." I smiled. "I'm Sam... Sam Cordes." "Nice to meet you, Sam." Austin smiled. "You too. And... umm, Reed, I uhh, I'm a really big fan of yours." I said nervously. "Thanks" Reed said.
I was more of the awkward type... which wasn't really helping at all in this situation.
Reed's POV:
I'm pretty sure Austin is completely annoying Sam. It's really embarassing. I actually really like Sam. I don't know, there's something about her, but Austin is just making me seem rude. It makes me feel really good that Sam is a fan of me. I have never really met too many of my fans. I really like her, like, a lot.
*The Next Day, At Austin's House*
"Uhh... Austin, can I ask you something?"
"Sure, what is it?"
"Well... uhh.. how do I put this?... Well, you know that one Sam girl?"
"Yeah..."
"I LIKE HER." I yelled.
"Uhhh... excuse me?.."
"I like her, okay. I don't know how to tell her, Austin. You need to help me. Do I just blurt it out.. or what?"
"I don't really know. I think you'll need to figure that out on your own. It's getting late, you should be getting home."
