"Amidala what, why are you not in your dress? The ceremony is in, Marker, we don't have time!"

She could hear Hux frantically search around the room for said dress. She had refused to wear it multiple times, but they had both wanted her to wear it at the ceremony. She would fight to the death then.

"I'm not wearing it."

Amidala tried to quietly leave the room, but it was too late. She could feel him staring daggers at her.

"Amidala, you promised me."

"No."

"Amidala."

"I'm not wearing it."

Amidala walked out of the room, messing with the collar of her dress. It felt light at least, but she would never admit it out loud. She would only have to wear it for a couple of hours, right now she needed to find Kylo.

There were many people moving around her as she walked through the hallway. She stuck near the wall, sensing she was going to the right place. She had improved so much compared to when she had first become blind, but it was still an adjustment.

In her thoughts, she suddenly felt the Force warn her of something coming her way. It wasn't something to be scared of, but something in her path, something-. Before she could check, she felt herself bump into someone else, falling on top of them.

"Amidala..........Amidala Hux?"

Where did she know that voice from? Wait, no. It couldn't be.

"Paige?"

"Yes. Amidala it's so good to see you!"

Amidala now recognized the voice immediately. Paige Tico, daughter of Rose Tico and Kaydel Connix. They had met in passing over the years, spending much time together when they would go back to meet with Leia every couple months.

"What are you doing here?"

She felt Paige move out from under her, helping her up off the floor. Amidala tried to right herself, hoping her cheeks were not too red.

"I'm here for you.......I mean the ceremony, to support. We've been on Naboo for the last year. The entire Resistance practically moved. Leia wanted to be here, and everyone agreed. Naboo is way nicer than Ajan Kloss. Less humid."

It wasn't even funny, but Amidala laughed. Paige joined in, uncaring that they were both laughing in the middle of an empty hallway. She wished she could have seen what her face looked like. She had never actually seen Paige's face, but by her life force, she knew she was the most beautiful person Amidala had ever met.

"I missed you so much."

Amidala paused, taking in Paige's words. They seemed genuine. The amount of times Amidala had thought about her over their travels. It was always so hard saying goodbye.

"I missed you too. I, uh. Have you seen my dad? The ceremony is supposed to start soon."

"Yeah, I think he's with Leia and Auntie Rey, down the hall and the first door to your left.......I guess I'll see you after the ceremony."

Amidala felt Paige hug her quickly, squeezing hard and keeping her there. Amidala wanted to say something, but she wasn't able to. She hugged her back, swearing on the Force this was not another goodbye.

She soon left though, making her way to Kylo. She tried calming herself. She smiled though at the familiarity of her grandmother's caring presence. She opened the door, feeling them all there.
