Sunlight filtered through the bedroom, revealing Jace wrapped around Clary's now stirring form. She smiled as she turned her head to see his closed eyes. She loved to see him like this, with sunlight glimmering off his rune scars. He looked so young like this. After everything they had been through together, they had aged. She still could not help but feel they were in the eye of the hurricane. They had fought and won, but how long would it last until a new threat rose up to meet them, destroying their tranquility? Her movements had woken him, and he turned to look at her.
