-So fucking impressive... -Muttered, his hands know slightly squeezing Harry's shoulders, who was as astonished as him. He even had to look at his hands, not believing he could hold that power.
Alec, just like his twin, had run to the warlocks, but he didn't pay much attention to the door, his ocean eyes were completely focused on Magnus, on helping him to stand up.
-You alright? -Obviously he couldn't believe that ancient museum had that hidden entrance, yet, it mattered little compared to Magnus' well-being.
Protecting himself was something Magnus learned since he was a little kid, but Alec, his Alec, was now trying to shield him, as he did in Edom.
Maybe the warlock still needed to get used to the feeling, but his cat eyes already showed a fond stare towards the boy. Shined and those holographic colors weren't responsible.
-I'm... I'm fine... -In fact, he was massaging his own hands, pressing quite hard in order to get rid of the pain and Alec noticed.
-You've done enough... Stay here with Harry.
-You're crazy if you think I'm going to let you enter there without me.
Good trick, Alec Lightwood, little did you know about Magnus' willingness to give you his last breath.
Their eyes met, as if the rest didn't matter at all, as if they were surrounded by nothing but the sound of their beating hearts.
However, that was far from being the reality, since Ten and the Shadowhunters were already closer to the door, puzzled, as if those bright lights and colors hypnotized them.
The faerie seemed out of breath, her hands trembling, her silver eyes now like a Northern Lights.
Never had she encountered such precious place, such breathtaking view.
If that wasn't magic, then nothing else could be.
In her mind, the sound of her music box was already present, as if the object could finally reach her and cried for her.
-Are we really going to enter there? -Far from being impressed, Simon seemed terrified, as if aliens could appear from that place.
-I... Guess... -Just like Matt, Isabelle couldn't take her eyes off those glittery colors, wondering if her skin shivered because of the cold breeze or due to the astonishment.
Clary couldn't hide her surprise either, yet, she made sure to stay next to Jace, while taking his arm and looking at him. His golden eyes serious, his expression emotionless.
-Ten is the one that wants that music box. She should be the one entering, we have done more than enough.
As Alec, Jace noticed Magnus' and Harry's exhaustion and of course, he wasn't so naive for thinking that place could be safe.
-We agreed on searching for the box as well. -Matt, already standing with Harry, watched Jace, then Ten. -We can't just surrender now. Come on, this is our mission. -He looked at everyone, with the hope that someone agreed.
He usually started a wide variety of things, but finished little, it wasn't a secret that he wanted to explore what hid behind that door, the crave for adventure dragged him.
Instantly, Magnus looked at Harry, slightly shook his head and his twin lowered his.
If the hazel-eyed boy wanted to go, he wasn't willing to leave him alone, even if he wasn't sure if it was secure.
-Why don't we divide? Some of us could enter and the other stay here. -The least thing Harry wanted was their friend to argue, so, as usual, tried to find a fair solution.
As soon as the half Shadowhunter said that, Matt nodded and stared at everyone, determined.
He had Harry on his side, that was enough, he would be there to protect him as well.
Together, they could fight against the World if necessary.
Yet, Magnus thought of their conversation: "Do not drag my brother with you". But Matt was doing it, and Harry was letting himself fool by the charms of love.
-I'm obviously going. I'm not asking for any of you to follow. -Ten's eyes showed no fear, maybe nervousness, but the right amoung of courage.
Of course she wanted the Shadowhunters to go with her, it would be easier to find the box, and she had clear that she had no reason to feel guilty if something happened, they agreed, she didn't force them.
But she had no idea that they were a family, that they were not going to let doubts part them.
Whatever reasons they had, whatever was their goal, they placed themselves in front of the triangular door.
A narrow corridor was presented, with sharp crystals on both sides, even in the cieling.
Like mirror, blinding colors, lights, a slight smoke and thin crystal particles floating.
It could be described as ethereal, magical, splendorous and enchanting, maybe too much.
Just the moment they entered, they numby walked through the corridor until the path divided into nine different tunnels that each of them followed, not even noticing they parted, until it was too late.
Crystal paths, crystal walls, crystal cielings... Sharp edges threatening them. Dark magic hiding behind the beauty of colors.
Their hearts were about to face true horror, true confusion, could they stand it? Or would they shatter?
