adria walks back into her apartment with joseph following behind her. he sits on her couch and watches as her puppy jumps into joseph's lap. joseph shifts in his seat and watched as adria slowly sat on the spot next to him on the couch.
"so, how was your day?" adria awkwardly asks as she pet her yorkie that rested on joseph lap. joseph looked up at her and raised an eyebrow, "quite alright, how was yours?" he responded while keeping his gaze on her.
she hummed and nodded, "pretty good, until this one wacko decided to barge up in my home wanting to talk about something that doesn't need to be talked about, that is." she says as she stopped petting that the yorkie that was asleep on joseph.
he blankly stared at adria, "adria, have you told anyone?" he asked while scratching at his scruffy beard. she slowly nodded her head and he dropped his head, "adria, we promised." she shook her head and scooted closer to him, resting her hand on his thigh, "no, i didn't tell them about that." she assured.
he nodded as he shifted his position to fully look at adria, "can we talk about it?" he asked and she shrugged in response, "do you feel we need to?" she asked, earning a shrug from him, "i feel-" he stopped and sighed, "no, we need to talk about it."
adria nods and turns her body to face him, resting her arm on the ledge of the couch as she leaned her head on her palm. joseph takes a deep breath while rubbing his thighs nervously, "okay, let's talk." he mutters. adria forced a smile, "let's talk." she nods.
there was a few minutes of silence before joseph scratches his cheek, "why aren't we talking?" he asks. adria throws her head back and groans, "why aren't we talking?" she repeats in a frustrated tone. he nodded his head and sighs before taking adria's hands in his, "listen, adria, that day in your trailer," he began to say and adria grew nervous, "i didn't know it was going to escalate into, well, that." he tells her and she nodded, "i didn't either, jojo."
he nodded his head, "i got caught up in the moment and i- i don't know, i just kind of... felt it was right." he tells her. adria deeply inhaled as she ran her fingers through her dogs fur, "it did, it felt right." she admits as her eyes slowly look up at him, only to see that he was already looking at her.
he licked his lips, "so, what does this mean?" he asked while running his hand through his curly hair. adria slowly shakes her head as she reaches over to twirl the strand of hair that dangled on his forehead, "i don't even know, but i like you, joseph. i really like you." she admits.
joseph's face lit up, a wide smile forming on his face, his dimples became prominent, and his puppy dog eyes became more wide. "i fancy you, adria. i really do." he confesses. a smug smile forms on her face, "i fancy you, i assume you want to snog it out until we're all knackered out, mate?" she says in a british accent.
joseph deadpanned, "do you ever shut up?" he asked. she shook her head, "no, and there's no way you can shut me u-" she was cut off by him leaning forward and kissing her softly. his large hands cup her cheeks as they both melted into the kiss.
finally pulling away from the kiss even though they didn't want to, they smile at each other as they rested their foreheads against one another, "we can take it slow, i won't force a relationship into you if you're not ready, but all i know is, i want to continue on with you." he whispers before kissing her nose.
she smiles and nods her head, "i'd like that." she tells him. he does a little happy dance in his seat and hugs her. she giggles and hugs him back, "you know, that night in my trailer, i felt like i was back in middle school." she tells him and he laughs, shaking his head, "well, i mean, we dry humped in our undergarments as if we were two pre-teens in a game of seven minutes in heaven." he spoke through a chuckle.
adria nods her head, "it wasn't bad, actually." she bit her lip and wiggled her eyebrows. he let a hearty laugh out as he wrapped his arm around her and pulled her in for a cuddle, "darling, please don't speak like that in front of the child." he joked as he pointed at the puppy who was still sleeping on his lap.
