GQ: Adria, it's so nice to see you here again!
AR: It's so great to be back! God, I feel like I haven't been here in ages, haha.
GQ: So, I hear you're finally playing the lead in a romantic comedy, how do you feel about having more screen time rather than being a side character?
AR: Oh my God, it's honestly so insane! Everyone knows how much I love my small roles this, God, this is justa dream come true, you know? Like, this is my life now, the lead role instead of a background character, it's.. it's a huge step to say the least.
GQ: Is there anything you can tell us about the movie or is it all still pretty hush, hush as of right now?
AR: Ah, yes, there are a few things I can spill about it, only for you GQ.
GQ: Amazing, let's hear it!
AR: My character is Mia Uribe and she's kind of this like, almost, um, introverted person who kind of chooses to keep herself isolated away from any kind of heartache but she meets this guy and he shakes her world up a bit. As soon as they came up to me with the script and asked me to come in for a reading, I knew I wanted to do this role since it's not something I would typically do. I'm casted as a funny friend or a random student, never a love interest, so it is a bit different but still super fun.
GQ: Are you able to reveal who plays your love interest?
AR: Haha, no, I can't. It's not that I'm not allowed to, I just don't know who is going to be casted as my love interest!
GQ: Word on the street that the men in the running are Jordan Fisher, Sebastian Stan and Joseph Quinn. Do you have any preference of which of them you would love to have alongside you as your love interest?
AR: I'm sorry, did you just say that Sebastian Stan auditioned? He is my literal celebrity crush! Oh, sorry, that wasn't the question, haha. No, in all seriousness I would be honored to work with each of these men, although, I don't think I know who Joseph Quinn is.
GQ: Joseph Quinn is known for playing Eddie Munson on the Netflix series Stranger Things. Brilliant actor! He was actually here about 2 weeks ago!
AR: Oh, that's Joseph Quinn?! It would be pretty cool to work alongside him, he seems like he could be the type to make a girl swoon.
GQ: Fans love him! Speaking of love, do you have any funny stories about your love lfie that you would like to share?
AR: Oh God, there's so many but I'm not sure how muvh my ex-boyfriends back in Texas would like for me to spill about them so I'll just say, um, Darren (Barnet) and I once went on a date and it was our first date, but he took us to this movie and as soon as we got there we were bombarded by cameras and paparazzi so we just left the movie, he took me home, and we ghosted each other due to the both of us being embarassed. He's the one who reached out first and was like, "Can we like, have a do over, one where, I dunno, there's no cameras in our face like that." So I said yes, then about 2 years later we mutually split and I still have so much love for him. Shout out Darren, wherever you are when this comes out!
