Summary:
Ever since that fateful day, he had resigned himself to one day feeling this promising child fade away with his collective consciousness. But when the opportunity presented itself to him, he couldn't but grasp at it desperate to keep this one from fading away.
He doubts anyone could fault him for what he did that day, not without being hypocritical. He's being cruel, in the way only gods can be, but he can't help but be glad that the accident had happened. For all that it had threatened to take what was his, it had given him the opportunity to keep his son.
For eternity.
