Save Me
By vallwrites

~

Weak legs carry her,
she's barely surviving,
barely breathing.
Her mouth is dry
and her throat is swollen,
preventing her from speaking a word.
There's blood on her tongue,
a wound from where she bit hard.
She can't find her clothes,
they got lost in the darkness
where no one could hear her cries and her begs and her weeps.
She's screaming,
begging them to save her,
to just hold her,
to make her feel safe again;
a feeling she doubted she would ever be able to experience again.
Nobody listens.
They simply watch
and do nothing,
they judge,
they don't believe.
Liar,
they say.
So she shrivels into a ball in the corner of her room and refuses to ask for help ever again.
