I glanced at the round clock for the hundredth time. 12:55pm. I sighed. Five more minutes and it'll be free period. Don't get me wrong, I love Class, but I'm really tired today. I spent all night working on my maths assignment that I slept in. I almost came to school late. Thankfully, I didn't or that would have ruined my perfect attendance.
My gaze shifted to Mrs Turner. She herself seemed bored. I guessed I'm not the only one. On cue, the bell I've been waiting for rings. Everyone is quick to leave the class and I slump in my seat. We have chemistry later and Mr Payne is sick.
Packing my stuff, I head over to my safe place. The place where all the popular and dumb kids won't dare go. The place that's free from any act of bullying. Where? The library.
The smell of old books and wood hit my nose and I welcome it. I find it soothing actually. Taking a seat, I scan the half empty room. People don't come here anymore. Good. I was in such a hurry to come today I forgot my lunch. I also forgot to ask Aunt Maggie for lunch money. Thankfully, I'm not really in the mood to eat today. Besides,I'll be leaving school soon. It's free period and then closing time.
I take out a book from one of the shelves and take a seat. Blowing the dust off of it, coughing a few times, I begin to read. My favourite activity to pass time. A smile spreads upon my face as I read the first page. So far the book seems nice.

The bell rang, indicating it's time to head home. I mentally groaned. Just when I was getting to the good part. Sighing,I returned the book and made my way out of the library. A ding comes from my phone and I check it. It's a message from my Aunt Maggie.

Hey sweetie, I just wanted to tell you that I won't be home early again. If your hungry, help yourself to some leftover pizza and chicken in the microwave. I'll be back around 11 so don't wait up. Love you😘
Aunt M.
I shrugged at the message. Aunt Maggie has been working her butt of for as long as I've known her. She's the most hard working person I've ever met and my role model. I knew she's only doing this for me so I could only understand. Replying with a simple 'okay', I put my phone back in my bag. At least I have leftover piz-
" Ahh!" A gasp left my lips as I bumped into something hard. I guess as my rump makes harsh contact with the floor. Deciding to look at the person I hit, my breath hitches when I look into a pair of deep blue eyes.
He looked down at me, his left hand in his pocket, watching my every move. His expression was blank so I couldn't tell whether he was angry or not. My eyes went down to his toned and hard chest which I had hit. No wonder my nose hurt so bad. His lips were pursed in a thin line as he towered above my frame.
" Sorry. So sorry." I hurried to say, scrambling to my feet. Picking my bag from the floor, I quickly left his presence. Fortunately,he doesn't call me back. I make sure not to look back as I sped out of the hall. Just in case.
Once I'm out of the school, I take a moment to breathe and calm my racing heart. Why did I behave like that? Oh it's only because I just bumped into Nicolas Rae. The Nicolas Rae. The baddest and buggers Playboy in school. With his gorgeous blue eyes, Chestnut brown hair and defined body, he's absolutely irresistible to women. I even heard he's slept with almost every girl in school.
I don't believe that of course but I know he's slept with a lot. He is naturally intelligent and also has an I don't care attitude to almost everything. I've seen him get in fights and that scene is enough to have me terrified of him.
I've never been so close to him before. I mean, I've seen him from a far distance a few times before but I've never stood in front of him before. And I'd be lying if I said he isn't handsome. But he's equally dangerous.
" Hopefully, I'll never meet him again." I say to myself as I make my way home.
