Hi! This is my very first attempt at writing.
I saw a vision of 'Ellie' in a dream back in March 2011 and wanted to bring her character to life...sort of.
The story is complete. It took me roughly 6 months and am proud of myself for sticking with it.
I LOVE and truly appreciate Votes and/or Comments, you wouldn't believe how it makes my day and I love my fans :)
ENJOY!

(1) Intro
'Run Ellie! Now! Faster!' I'm so panting hard, repeating the command over and over again in my mind. I can barely see from all the sweat that's dripping into my eyes. My lower body especially my ankles feel as if they may snap at any moment if I stop. But I can't stop, not now.
"I can't breathe!" Yelling to no one in particular. Air is escaping from my lungs faster than it's coming in and I may end up passing out but hope my effort wasn't wasted in the end.
Please don't fall, I keep silently begging my failing body and trip on something stupid like your own feet. Oh...NO! NO! NO! That beast of a dog is going to get my leg for sure. Dang he's BIG! The millisecond I took to glance back brought forth a nightmare of four monstrous paws or were they claws? He's pure black with eyes as black as coal aiming straight for my face. But all I can really see are his canines bared to me. I need to keep running.
Faster! FASTER!!
I'm almost there. I can see the fence. Just a few more feet. I shouldn't look back again but I need to. He's so close. Oops, big mistake! I can feel his hot breath on my legs. I can feel the growl of the beast vibrating through my bones that start turning my limbs to jelly. My damn hair is in my eyes I can't see!
Snap!! Then another snap.
Hearing and almost feeling his massive canines lock down on my right leg, gave me the extra adrenaline to push through. Damn! Those teeth look sharp enough to cut through steel.
I finally reached the fence, slamming into it only seconds before the beast does and it won't open. "Open!" I'm yelling at it as if it understood me. I shake the rusty metal fence loose and it opens with a fight. I have barely a second to get behind it before...
I collapse hard on the ground, face down. I'm out of breath and the fire in my lungs painful, every breath a reminder of the beast aiming for me. My heart is pumping so excruciatingly loud I can't focus. While laying on the cold ground I feel a pain in my left shoulder and touch it. My trembling fingers move the collar of my now dirty shirt over and see red. I want to sit up but the coolness of the ground against the side of my face was what I needed to calm my fragile nerves. My eyes closed automatically trying to shut out what almost happened while trying to get my heart to calm down.
That was too close. I can't believe Noah isn't here. Why does hell, I mean the beast, always seem to welcome me on days when I have to fend for myself? The attempt to sit up hurts like worms because worms in their jelly state can actually sit up. Stupid me, I hate myself.
"Why?!" Again, talking to myself like a crazy person, shaking both my hands furiously while lifting them over my head towards the sky.
There was only one day during the month when my best friend Noah wasn't with me. He left to go make some money for us and who was I to argue with that because money buys food and saves me the hassle of wrestling it away from that beast dog. I shivered at the thought of having my leg bitten off and left for dead. This time was just too close an am lucky only my left shoulder took a beating.
My heart finally slows down and I can feel my pulse returning to normal. Looking behind me safely hidden behind the metal fence, the beast was still pacing but at a safer distance away. A crazed look filled his eyes and thick saliva dripped off those canines.
