He was sitting cross-legged on the edge of a small cavern at the top of the hall. "Have they arrived?", a person asked from behind him. He nodded and turned around to face the figure, whose face was covered in a shadow. "He seems to react to the book in some way. I don't think we got him though, his companions will probably find a way to get him back." The figure kneeled down beside him, a grin appearing on their face. "Good. At least we know that we can get him. Also", they said and reached out for something in their back pocket, showing it to him, "I've got the coder of this world and replaced it with the copy. I broke the copy, just like you told me to." He nodded and continued watching the people below him. "The first thing he paid attention to when reading the book was power. Any way he can increase his power. If that's his deepest desire, then he needs to be taught a lesson." The person behind him shifted uncomfortably. "Why did we have to eliminate Xisuma for that?" The person sitting turned around to them. "What, are you having doubts?", he said in a low, dangerous voice. "No, I just- No." "Good. I have to be able to trust you."

Hey, writing person here. I'm afraid that's all I have written by now, and I may have to take a break from writing for a month or so. School has started for me, and I have a lot of things going on right now, including coming out as genderfluid to my surroundings and my friend possibly having skin cancer. I hope you understand that I need a break, and my sincere apologies for leaving a cliffhanger. I've also kind of been experiencing an "art block"'or something, as I am missing out on ideas on how to continue this.
I promise I will finish this in the near future. A massive thank you to everyone who has read this story until now, everyone who has left a comment and everyone who has voted for a chapter (seriously, I am so thankful). I'll see you all soon,
