I got this crazy feeling
I'm gone be single again
I know it, I can feel it
Know you gone mess up
~Keri Hilson "Intuition"

Another morning where I wake up alone in the house. I sighed and thought about the events that took place last night. Monte already broke his promise.

Whatever.

Maybe I was being over dramatic. Was I? He's just trying to make it easier for us to live without struggling. I appreciate that, but why do I have to suffer? I need a second opinion.

I picked up my phone from the nightstand to call my bestfriend, Lisah. The phone began to ring and she picked up.
"Hey bitch!"

Why does she have to be so damn ghetto?

"Hey Lisah, what you doing today?"

"Nothing, I was just finna call you and ask you the same thing."

"Mhmm, how bout we go get some breakfast?"

"Wassup with you? You don't even like breakfast. Something must be wrong."

Damn, she knew me too well.

"I just wanted to talk, so do you wanna go to breakfast or not?"

"Yeah girl, you buying? Cuz you know I'm broke."

I rolled my eyes."Yeah Lisah, I'm buying. Meet me at iHop at 9."

She started to yell. "Wait! I need you to come get me, Jamel got my car."

I sighed. "Okay, I'll be there soon. Bye"
She hung up without saying goodbye, how rude.

I got out of bed and did my daily routine. After getting dressed in one of my favorite sundresses and sandals, I headed out. I got into my car and slid on my shades and drove across town to pick up Lisah's loud ass. Within 30 minutes I was outside of Lisah's brother, Jamel's house. I honked the horn and waited 5 minutes until she finally came outside. She hopped in the car.

"Damn, why take so long?" I asked.

"Because you can't rush perfection." Lisah grinned.

I playfully rolled my eyes. "Whatever, why does Jamel have your car?"

"So I can live rent free, you know how Mel is." She said.

I shook my head and drove off. "How is Mel anyway?"

She shrugged. "How he always is, hardheaded and annoying. How are you? Cuz I know you just didn't wanna have breakfast."

I sighed. "I'm lonely."

"Lonely?" She laughed. "Don't you have a man?"

"Yeah, one who loves to work more than he loves me."

"Aww, DD. You know how Monte is, tryna fill his daddy's shoes."

"That's not a good enough excuse for him to work all day and then not come home at night. I can't do it Lisah" I said pulling up to iHop and parking the car.

"Did you tell him that?" She asked.

"Yes, we had a conversation about it last night right before he headed back to work. He doesn't understand. Sometimes I feel like he's going out to cheat instead of work."

"Don't start that Brandee, Monte's better than that."

"I thought the same thing, but I just don't know. I don't know who he is anymore."
