"I kissed him." Whispered Maddie.

Padma froze.

"And he kissed me. And I ran away." She whispered.

"You ran? Good." Said Padma. "Excellent."

There was a beat of silence.

"How was it?"

"Padma."

"Well-"

"It was fine. I was emotional."

"How was it really?"

There was waterfall between my legs and I could feel his hard on against me.

"Fine." Repeated Maddie. "Bueno."

"I can't help if she's got her knickers in a twist." Said Ron, walking alongside the chosen one in the hallway. One of the sleeves of his robe had slunk down a shoulder. "What Lav and I have, well, let's just say there's no stopping it. It's chemical. Will it last? Who knows? Point is, I'm a free agent."

Maddie had never really understood why anyone would ever murder another person. What could possibly bring themselves to defile nature in such a way. Until he said 'I'm a free agent.'

But then gingers didn't really count as people did they?

Maddie walked passed the pair quickly in the hall, brushing passed Potter quickly. She failed to see Ron peel away from his friend. She yelped in shock when Harry grabbed her wrist.

"Noceda, where have you been?" He asked pleasantly. Harry's glasses were slightly crooked.

"Hell." She answered.

"Ah." Replied Harry. "How is professor Snape?"

A smile tugged at her lips.

"Greasy."

"Typical." Said Harry. "I'm about to go to the library, would you like to come? Hermione's gonna be there. Can't bring Ron. He's-"

"An ass?"

"Come to think of it I've never seen Ron and a donkey in the same room." Said Harry, he was several inches taller than Maddie.

Not taller than Theo though.

Theo, Maddie would have too pull down to kiss. Harry was simply a matter of standing on her tip toes.

"I need to go, I-" she started, looking for an excuse. She wasn't in the mood.

A flicker of confusion filled Harry's features and Maddie furrowed her eyebrows.

"What?" She asked him.

"Nott is there. And he is- there's an expression on his face." Said, Harry. He tilted his head to the side slightly. Dread filled Maddie's stomach. "I didn't know he could do that." Harry stood with a hand on his hip.

He looked like a child at the zoo who had just witnessed a chimpanzee do something humans were meant to have a monopoly over.

"We should go." She said, "Andale, Potter, you wanted me to come to the library?" She pulled on his arm towards the library, startling him.

"I thought you said-"

"Oye, language barriers. English is the third language, be patient, Potter."

Harry carried her bag to the library for her.
