Before I fell asleep I played soft slow music that echoed at a mellow tune through the speakers that was set in every room. That was the only thing that could make me fall sleep. I was worrying sick about her, because who knows what she's getting herself into now ? Whiles worrying sick about Ti, My phone start ringing off the hook. "Good! This should be her" I said to myself getting out of bed to grab the phone, my facial expression went in shock , it wasn't her . "A phone call from my mother" , I froze in place not knowing what to do, I know I couldn't just ignore my mother, especially not a call, I didn't want to have her worried sick. For the little few months I've been here I was sending her emails or letters letting her know I'm on a mini business trip and would be back soon... yeah on a business trip with a bad girl doing not so good acts, hiding from the cops.
"Come on Rozondaaa.. think think think" I tap myself on the forehead continuously walking around in circles "You know what I'll come up with another lie" I bite down on my lips hard how scared I am
"Hey Mom" I answered trying to be happy and not put on a nervous voice
"Rozonda where the heck are you?!" She shout through the phone
"Mom what are you talking about? I'm on a business trip" I rub my hands through my hair
"Stop with the lying! You know I don't tolerate that nonsense, and especially not from you. Why you and Chris ain't together anymore?"
"Mom....
"Your friend just died weeks ago, and you out here doing crap. I had to find out you went state hopping with that dangerous girl in town, who don't care about her life and no one else?!" She said going on and on about the whole situation
How did she know all of this, I'm confuse but don't want to question her, the next step for me is to let her know I'm ok and it's a lie with Tionne
"Mom ... just listen to me please . I'm really Ok, just relax , I promise everything is fineee, I have no idea what your talking about. Me and that girl don't date, and I'm really taking care of business. Even though me and Chris is not together I'm still out her making a living, and I love that for me. I still have people with me who care about me and who's here to support me through it all. I don't understand who would tell you such thing to get you so worried over nothing" I said with a soft voice yet convincing
"Your friend came here and spoke to me about your well being" she said "i don't know where she get the information from but that's something I need to question really hard. Plenty crap is happening out here in the streets. I don't need you to be getting yourself involve in madness Rozonda"
