___

The garage was extremely big. It was one of the many garages in the house. It was filled with beautiful vehicles and toolboxes.

Drea quietly tiptoed down the steps until she was near the light switch. It was extremely dark and the only source of light was a small window near the top of the garage.

Each step she took made her stomach ache more and more. She didn't feel like this before, this new wave of nausea was completely random, and worried Drea immensely.

She could not be sick on the day she finally built up the courage to leave.

"Oh my god." Drea worriedly muttered under her breath.

She hunched over and winced at the sharp pain in her stomach.

She had made it to the garage door but she felt a pain arising in her stomach. She was aware that it was a symptom of her anxiety but the cramps caught her off guard completely.

Drea struggled to keep her composure and stay silent. One soft groan of pain, and she was done for. She couldn't make a sound.

Drea grabbed her belly tightly in an attempt to soothe the roaring ache that was spreading through her whole body.

Something was not right.

Her head started to pound and her veins felt like poison was rushing through them.

Drea looked down at her hand and saw her skin was ghostly pale. Her veins were more visible than they'd ever been and her hands shook faintly.

She put her hand to her drenched forehead and felt how scorching hot it was.

"What the..." She trailed off as she lost her balance.

She felt as if she was about to faint and knew that she had to get out before she collapsed.

Drea brushed her hair down and stumbled forward into the dark garage.

She fumbled with the wall and managed to turn on the light.

Her movement was slow not only because she was being cautious, but because she felt dizzy.

Her trembling fingers navigated around the keyholder, searching for the button to open the garage.

Once she found it, she held it tightly and shut her eyes.

Was she really about to do this? Was she going to walk out on the man she has known her whole life? Leave the life she's grown used to and walk the streets alone without her abusive yet protective childhood lover?

Drea has had many moments of hesitation but not as strong as this.

It's not like escaping would put her in extreme danger. But her family, her old friends, and so many more innocent people that she didn't want to be caught up in the webs of her abusive marriage.

Drea almost had the urge to turn herself into Antonio. Confess about her plans, take her punishment, and force herself to be a loving wife again.

She could do it. She could learn to love him. The bad the good and the ugly.

Drea's breath was shaky and her eyes were watery as she fought with herself.

It would be selfish to leave. She's aware of the dangers of leaving Antonio. She kept him sane for the most part. Without his obsession, he ought to destroy anything in his path.
