KEY: Your POV, Wesker's POV

I would say I admire Chris' commitment to fighting me but he never gets close to succeeding. I sit in Y/N's room in their comfy black chair. They designed their bedroom exactly how I would have, black & gray being the main color scheme aside from some fake leaves & dark purple here & there. I leaned back in the soft, cushiony chair, admiring the sight. Y/N lay sleeping in their bed, cuddling a pillow. I plan to spend the whole night here if necessary, I wish to understand why I can't bring myself to kill them. I could've easily done it in the kitchen hours ago, but I didn't. I hate them yet they have some sort of hold on me. I could slit their throat right now, watch them bleed out. Oh, I love to see weaker beings in pain. But this human, I can't kill? Why? I closed my eyes tightly. Kill them, now. Pull your knife from your pocket & kill them now.

"Wesker," Y/N spoke softly.

My eyes softened. Why did they ease my anger? What is happening to me? I opened my eyes to see them tossing & turning in their sleep. In an instant, I stood by their bedside. I looked down at them, their brows furrowed. Their lip was in a quivering frown. They're afraid of me, good.

"No, please," they continued to murmur.

I smirked to myself. No matter how they make me feel I have power over them. I have the upper hand. Now just to figure out what the fuck they have done to me.

I stretched groggily until my whole body felt awake... until it was tired again. I just wanted to stay in bed all morning. Ugh, I have to be an adult & job search. A knock at the door made me jump.

"Hey Y/N, safe & alive in there?" Chris asked.

To my chagrin, Redfield. Same for you.

"Yes, I'm wonderful! I'll be out in a minute!"

I sat up & got out of bed, stretching once more. I let out a big yawn & made my way to my closet. I slipped on a clean t-shirt & a pair of sweats. I rubbed my eyes as I walked out into the living room. Bear greeted me with zoomies.

"Good morning Bear," I chuckled, giving him a nice pat.

"I made breakfast!" Chris announced cheerily while setting the table.

"Aw, you didn't have to Chris."

"I know, but I wanted to. I also had a lot of time, you slept in a bit."

"Ha, sorry. I had a nightmare last night, kind of fucked up my sleep schedule."

"Oh that's fine, we all get those. If you want to talk about it, I'm here for you."

"Thanks."

I ate breakfast quickly & decided to take Bear out on a run. Chris insisted on coming with me just in case Wesker turned up. I agreed & let my stomach rest for a minute before changing & heading out. We ran about a mile before my back started annoying me too much. I slowed down to a walking pace, Chris stopped when he noticed. I tried my best to massage my back, but it didn't soothe the pain.

"Hey, are you okay," Chris pulled an earbud out of his ear & cocked his head.

"Yeah, my back is just killing me."

"Here, let me help."

Chris stood behind me & let his hands hover over my back.

"Mind if I give you a massage?"

"Yes, please. Thank you for asking."

He started massaging my back, pushing each pressure point perfectly. I let out a sigh of relief feeling the pain drift away. I heard a branch crack in the woods nearby & that scared me out of my trance. Bear started barking at the tree line. I tensed up once more, causing my back to hurt. Chris rested his hand on his gun.

"Thinking rationally, it's probably just a predator right?" I spoke softly.

"At this point, I don't think I even know Wesker anymore."

Bear sat down & stopped barking.

"We must be good now. Bear would smell anything bad if it was still there. Must've just been a little... I don't know bear?" I rambled reassuringly.

"A bear?" Chris mocked.

"Shut up, I'm going back to the house. Can you take Bear for the rest of his run?"

"But, what if Wesker-You know what, take my gun."

"Fine, if it makes you worry less," I laughed as Chris handed me his gun.

I walked back up to my house feeling the pain in my back only get worse. I closed the front door behind me as I entered, a pained sigh escaped my lips. A gust of wind hit me as a figure in a black shirt appeared before me. Before even looking up to see his face I lifted my gun to point it at him.

"I don't wish to hurt you, Dear Heart."

"I'm not convinced."

"Put the gun down."

I grit my teeth. Maybe I'm growing on him? I took a chance & lowered the gun. I set it on the desk beside me. Wesker smiled... not a smirk, a soft smile. He seemed to notice & corrected it, returning to his blank-faced look.

"Step forward a bit," he directed.

I did as he asked. Wesker stood behind me & placed his hands on my back. Fear slipped away as he started to massage me. I let out a soft moan when he hit the spot that had been aching all day. Wesker released a heavy breath onto my neck as he continued. After a while he stopped, his hands still resting on my shoulders. He let his hands drift down to my waist, gripping it tightly. Wesker pulled me against his toned chest, I felt him breathe slowly.

"You're mine, Y/N."

I decided to continue to try to win him over, "Yes, Wesker."

"Good (pet name)," he growled.

Yes. They have relinquished their humanity to me. I own this mere mortal. That makes everything much easier. I can enact my plan without any interference. I pulled them closer to me once more, a sense of victory fulfilling me. They are mine.

"I must go now, Dear Heart. I will be back, I can promise that. I must work on the next phase of my plan."

"Okay, Wesker," they spoke softly.

I smirked to myself, I have won.
