Chapter 45:OLIVIA'S BACK STORY

Nagising ako sa isang tahimik na kwarto at nandoon nakita ko si Kuya na nakatulog na while leaning in my bed, sitting and I think waiting for me to wake up.

I also saw Dad, sleeping at the couch with no blankets tapos ang lamig pa naman dito sa kwarto.

Dahan-dahan akong tumayo at umalis sa bed na kinahihigaan ko, I think I was in a hotel room. Sumilip ako sa bintana at napagtantong nasa Ilocos pa din ako.

Then I grab the blankets at the cabinet at kinumutan si Kuya. Then next is si Dad na mahimbing din na natutulog.

Pumunta naman ako sa may pintuan ng room na ito at sinilip ang labas, may mga bodyguards na nakabantay lalo na sa may hallway.

Bumalik na ako sa loob ng room na parang condo na din dahil may sarili itong living room at kitchen pero VIP room lang toh sa isang 5-star hotel.

Tumunog naman ang tiyan ko at tila gutom ito kaya naghanap ako ng makakain sa kusina. Buti nalang may mga cup noodles dito, free yata from the hotel, sa mini refrigerator naman ay may wine, beers, any kinds of drinks including milk and juice.

Nilagyan ko na ng hot water ang cup noodles and wait until 15 minutes. Then I add all the seasoning at hinalo ng mabuti at nagsimula ng kumain.

Pero bago ko pa man maisubo ang noodles, may nakaagaw na ng atensyon ko mula sa malaking glass window na nasa harapan ko lang. It was this one building na may latest news sa billboard.

I open it immediately and read it.

Napaupo nalang ako sa sahig at isinandal sa pader ang likod, tumingala ako upang mapigilan ang pagtulo ng aking mga luha pero tumulo pa din ito. Then I ended up sobbing.
