Chapter 6 : Catnip

"ᏰᎩ ᏖᏂᏋ ᏇᏗᎩ...ፈᏗᏁ ᎩᎧᏬ ᎮᏝᏋᏗᏕᏋ ᎴᎧ ᎷᏋ Ꮧ ᎦᏗᏉᎧᏒ? ᏖᏂᏋᏒᏋ'Ꮥ ᏖᏂᎥᏕ ᏰᏝᏗፈᏦ ᎴᏋᏉᎥፈᏋ ᎮᏝᏗᏁᏖᏋᎴ ᎥᏁᏖᎧ ᏖᏂᏋ ᏰᏗፈᏦ ᎧᎦ ᎷᎩ ᏒᎥᎶᏂᏖ ᏝᏋᎶ. Ꭵ ፈᏗᏁ'Ꮦ ᏕᏋᏋ ᎥᏖ, ፈᏗᏁ ᎩᎧᏬ ᎮᎧᎥᏁᏖ ᎧᏬᏖ ᏇᏂᏋᏒᏋ ᎥᏖ ᎥᏕ ᎦᎧᏒ ᎷᏋ?" Zane wrote on the paper. "No problem!" I replied and looked at his right leg, there was a small black thing under his scales.

"It's there" I pointed out the place, then Zane began clawing his leg. "What are you doing?!"I asked frantically until some blood oozed out of his leg with some scales scattered on the ground. "Ꭵ ፈᏗᏁ'Ꮦ ᎶᏒᏗᏰ ᏖᏂᎥᏕ ᏖᏂᎥᏁᎶ ᏇᎥᏖᏂ ᎷᎩ ፈᏝᏗᏇᏕ, ፈᎧᏬᏝᎴ ᎩᎧᏬ ᎮᏝᏋᏗᏕᏋ ᏒᏋᎷᎧᏉᏋ ᎥᏖ ᎦᎧᏒ ᎷᏋ? ᎩᎧᏬ ᏇᎧᏬᏝᎴ ᎴᎧ Ꮧ ᏰᎥᎶ ᎦᏗᏉᎧᏒ ᎦᎧᏒ ᎷᏋ ᏰᎩ ᎴᎧᎥᏁᎶ ᏖᏂᏗᏖ, ᎥᏖ ᏂᏬᏒᏖᏕ ᎷᏋ ᏗᏝᏝ ᏖᏂᏋ ᏖᎥᎷᏋ" he wrote on the paper with his own fresh-red blood.

"Ok...but it's going to hurt a bit, are you sure about this?" I asked, then he gave me a nod. "Alright, one...two...three!" I yelled and pulled out the black device. Immediately after pulling it out, blood came gushing out of the wound. I tried to cover it, but I felt something shoot through me from the black device. Several waves of electricity coursed through my body from the black device, making me shriek in pain as my body went numb. The last thing I knew was Zane taking the device out of my hand, crushing it with his claw before my eyes fluttered shut and blacked out.

(???'s POV)

"Matt, are you sure that you want to do this...?" my friend asked in hesitation as the two of us headed to the pokecenter after the guild's morning brief. "Yeah, of course! I want to see his reaction! I'm sure as heck that it's going to be entertaining!"

(20 minutes later, ???'s POV)

"What a relaxing sleep...finally once when those two didn't wake me up with their morning kicks..." I muttered with a yawn as I slowly woke up. "Oh yeah...of course they wouldn't be waking me up...I'm at home...wait...I'M AT HOME!?" I exclaimed when I realized what the situation was.

"Nononono...Chatot's gonna kill me! I'm the one up to sentry duty today!" I said to myself as I jumped out of my bed and quickly got dressed. "What happened last night...? I don't remember a thing...forget about that, I have to rush to the guild, I overslept!" I thought to myself and opened the door of my room, grabbed my backpack then dashed out. "Bye dad, bye mom!"

"Mr.Spark, some of your friends said that you fainted quite a few times without a reason yesterday, so I'm afraid that you'll have to come to the pokecenter with us," a Chansey who was standing next to the staircase said to me when I closed the door of my home. "Err...what?"

"Mr.Spark, I'm afraid that you have the most records of going to the pokecenter among all of the juveniles in Treasure Town," she said with a frown. "Yeah...? But...why are you mentioning this? I have to go to work right away, or Chatot is going to be furious" I said to her. "That's exactly why you have to come with me"

"Right...be back later, I really have to go, bye!" I said to her and dashed off. "Mr.Spark, please wait for a moment," she said with a sigh. "Ugh...fine, make it fast..." I grumbled, then heard her singing from behind. As my eyelids grew heavier, I realized what she was doing right away and turned back. "Hey!...stop..." I muttered as my eyelids slowly became too heavy for me to keep open.

"Wh-what...? Where am I...?" I muttered as I slowly came to and rubbed my eyes, which were apparently...the pokecenter. "Ma'am, you could've just asked!" I grumbled when I saw the Chansey in front of me. "That was what I tried to do, you didn't listen, so I had to take you here by force"
