Chapter 6 : Catnip

"Icy, I feel something hot coming from there," Derp said and pointed his horn toward Randy's direction. "So...nobody can run away, fair enough," Randy said with a smile as the two of them were surrounded by a large circle of fire. "Bring it on!" Pycardas roared. "Icy, you owe me an ice cream for every mon I save here when we get back!"

(battle start)

Pycardas charged a Fire Blast and shot it towards Randy, while Randy did the same with his Rock Throw. A blast came out as the attacks collided, Pycardas then dashed towards Randy with his Fire Fang, which Randy dodged and punched him with his right paw.

Pycardas got up again and shot a Flamethrower at Randy. The attack soared over Randy's head as he dodged right in time, the attack burned some fur on his back, but Randy managed to put it out by rolling on the ground. "Good thing I took off my shirt," he said with a sigh as Pycardas readied his next attack.

Pycardas summoned gusts of scorching winds toward Randy, but Randy struck back with his Rock Throw, pushing back the attack and smacking Pycardas on his forehead. "C'mon, is that all you got?" Randy taunted as Pycardas growled in pain. "What the hell, Randy?!" I screamed in my mind as Pycardas readied another attack.

Randy jumped and dodged the Dark Pulse Pycardas shot towards him, then shot another Rock Throw at Pycardas, striking him again. Pycardas then let out a snarl and shot a huge wave of energy toward Randy. Randy jumped sideways to dodge it, but the attack exploded behind Randy as it collided with the circle of flame, sending Randy flying forwards. "Randy!" I shouted" "I'm fine, just a little scraped"

"A little scraped...? How about this?!" Pycardas roared and dashed towards Randy with a Flame Charge, Randy got onto his hind paws and grabbed Pycardas's waist as Pycardas dashed towards him, and flung Pycardas over his head, making a loud thump when Pycardas hit the ground.

"Wow, Randy is so cool!" a voice said from behind me. "Della? I thought you were...sleeping...?" I muttered. "Forget about sleeping, watching a Rockruff fight against a Pyroar is much more interesting!" she replied. "Ugh...Silverwood...you're strong for a Rockruff...but I haven't been giving my all!" Pycardas roared at Randy. "Sure, sure, whatever"

Pycardas then glowed red. Seeing this, Randy shot a Rock Throw at Pycardas as he cast his Overheat. The attacks collided, but this time, Randy's rock got blasted apart and he got struck by the attack, making him stumble backward. "Randy!"

Pycardas then engulfed himself with fire and dashed towards Randy. Randy shielded himself with his paws as Pycardas's Flare Blitz crashed into him, knocking him backward and covering his paws with burn marks as Randy groaned in pain.

Without giving Randy a chance to get up, Pycardas glowed white as rings of red energy appeared in front of him when he charged forwards, striking Randy with his Giga Impact and sending him flying backward as he cried in pain, landing right in front of the rim of the flame circle.

"Randy! No!" I shouted and rushed towards the circle of flame, but two Pyroars rushed in front of me and blocked my path. "Nobody interrupts their battle!" they growled. "Silverwood, you've put up a nice fight, and last words?" Pycardas roared as he approached the wounded Rockruff, groaning in pain.

"Please...don't..." Randy muttered as he opened his eyes and looked at Pycardas. "Bad choice for your last words, Silverwood" Pycardas roared and his teeth started to radiate orange light as he readied his Fire Fang. "No!" I shouted while Della who sat next to me watched him in horror. "Now's the most entertaining part" the other Pyroars chanted together in excitement.

"RANDY! NOOO!" I shouted when Pycardas bit down on Randy's neck. Tears started to form in my eyes when I heard a cracking sound when Pycardas twisted his head. "Big sis Icy...I'm so scared..." Della whimpered and covered her eyes with her hooves, a small puddle slowly formed under her face as tears slowly dropped down from her face, soon I could see the same puddle under me. "What happened?" Derp asked with an innocent smile. "Heh! Hahahaha!"
