“No you’re not. I think your mom misses you and I know for a fact you’re starving so go, I’ll be fine.”

“Nope, I’m staying. I know you’ll need me especially in a great big house like this.”

“It’s just a house.”

“No, Quin is right. I think your mom would feel better if he stayed with you and I would too. How about this, I’ll have Drew bring you guys a plate and tomorrow you’ll have breakfast with us?”

“Perfect mom, THANKS!”

He gave his mother a hug and a kiss then took my things going up the stairs.

“See you guys tomorrow!”

I waved goodbye and let us both in as I glared at him.

“Oh come on, just like the good old days just this time we get to play dirty games and drink!”

“Which I could use right about now.”

“The dirty games or drink?”

“Drink, don’t get any ideas you’re sleeping in a different room.”

We made our way into the house and it felt different like it was actually being lived in which was odd.

“Show me the way.”

I showed him up to his room and as he settled, I went into mine, stopping at the entrance. Looking at it, nothing has changed; everything was the same since I left, except for the box on the bed. I slowly made my way over, and took the box in my hands.

“Present?”

I shook my head and sat down, opening the box. My heart began to ache as I looked inside where there were pictured and not just any pictures, but of my wedding day, when I was pregnant and at the baby shower. Quin must have noticed this was hurting me because he took the box and pulled me up into his arms.

“Forget it; don’t hurt yourself like that… Come on, let’s build a fire and have us a drink.”

We made our way down and into the living room when there was a knock at the door.

“I’ll get that.”

I ran over to the door and opened it to find little Drew standing before me.

“Well look who it is, little Drew himself.”

“Emma?”

“The one and only.”

“Oh my god Emma!”

Then I was picked up into his arms and spinned around until he put me down and pulled away.

“Wow, you look great!”

“Why thank you, come on in.”

“Actually I just came by to drop these off, I have a date.”

“Really with who?”

He looked down and smiled with an obvious blush forming around his face.

“Oh just someone.”

“Awwww you’re blushing.”

“Hey man!”

Quin came into view and brought each other into a hug. I bet it’s been a while since they’ve seen each other.

“What’s up man, look at you!”

Drew has always been shy especially around us girl, but it was cute to see even his brother had an effect on him.
