We took a day trip to Chester Zoo this day. We got the train there out of Liverpool James Street Station. We understood the trains a lot better by then even after only riding one once so far. We knew the train would make several stops along the way and we just had to watch and listen for ours. It was much easier this time because we didn't have all our luggage to haul around with us. Just our backpacks.
The platform was underground with a lot of cool color changing lights.
I could hear the electricity sparking on the tracks down below. Since our tickets ended up being anytime tickets, we got on a train earlier than we expected. I didn't take a whole lot of pictures on the train but we did pass through a place called Port Sunlight which I though sounded cool.
We arrived in Chester, took a few pictures
then got a taxi to the Zoo.
We got to the Zoo right when it opened.
