We had a reservation booked at a small, private restaurant in Central London for half eight. By the time we had got everyone there it was about twenty past. The only way we could get everyone a seat in the restaurant is if we did tables of 6. I sat down with Lauren, Keira, Lucy, Georgia and Leah. It wasn't a nice feeling sitting apart from everyone. But it was the only way we could get away with it.

Keira and Lucy were sat opposite me, being all lovey-dovey as per usual. The lack of affection they were able to show each other on the pitch translated to them being so much more touchy when the media wasn't involved. We ate our meal the same way everyone else did, laughing and chuckling the whole way through it. Lucy took so many flirty digs at Keira; something that the midfield was obviously used to (and clearly thoroughly enjoyed) that the rest of the table had completely folded over laughing. The blonde sat next to me rest a hand on my thigh, supporting herself as she ducked under the table laughing. I felt a blush rose to my cheeks; but under the redness of my face cause of the laughter it went unnoticed. She pulled her hand away, wiping her eyes carefully.
"Oh my god you two are everything." Leah smiled, wiping her eyes as well,
"Anyone special in your life Leah?" Georgia pried, finally composing herself,
"Yeah, actually." She smiled, glad someone had asked, "Her names Jordan, plays for Arsenal with me."
"I don't wanna hit a nerve bit did she miss out on scouting or something?" Lucy asked, folding her arms across her chest,
"Yeah. She did. Injury at the end of the season, she would've 100% been here if it wasn't for that."
"Is she okay?" I asked, turning my head to face Leah,
"Getting better yeah, she starts back at training next week, just taking baby steps for now."
"Well, I for one hope she finds her feet again soon." Georgia adds, placing a hand on Leah's shoulder. The girls around the table nodded,
"Thanks girls. Anyway, enough about me. What's happening with you lot? Other than them two being adorable."
Lucy caught my eyeline, raising an eyebrow as if to say 'what you gonna do now?'  "Georgia? You got a partner?"
Georgia nodded, "boyfriend. A rugby player."
"Ooo. Get you." Leah chuckled,
"Lauren? Alina?"
"Not much happening with me." I started, "and it would really being down the mood to take you guys back. I've done it once. Not happening again." I laughed,
"Mines pretty similar." Lauren starts, "nothing at the moment."
"You two are boring." Leah jeers, smiling then turning her head back to Keira and Lucy.
"I'm just gonna head to the bathroom." Keira starts, "Al, come with?"
I nodded, "sure."

"I wanted to apologize on Lucy's behalf. She doesn't mean to be so pushy."
"Kie you don't have to apologize, she means well. I get it. I'd say something her; Lauren that is. But I mentioned to Lucy. I've had enough realtionships ruin teams, I don't want the same thing to happen here."
"I understand, but there's something there, you can't deny that."
"I'm not denying that there's chemistry." I chuckle, "I like her, okay. I really do. But I can't do anything about it yet."
"You do like her?" Keira smiled, her jaw falling open,
"Oh shit. I shouldn't have said that."
"I won't say anything." Keira smiled, "promise."

We made our way back to the table and I sat back down in my seat. Georgia and Leah were in there own conversation, Lucy checked in with Keira as she sat down, Lauren glanced at me, leaning down closer to my ear,
"Everything okay?" Her breath on the side of my neck sent shivers down my spine, I turned my head slightly to face her, smiled and nodded slowly,
"yeah. all good."
The blonde didn't seem completely convinced, but didn't say anything. We all finished our meals by about half nine, but didn't haul everyone out of the restaurant until about ten. When we arrived back at our hotel everyone headed straight up to their rooms, calling it a night.

A message came through our England group chat; all the photos Beth had taken throughout our meal. There were some of people smiling for the photo, but there were a few ones that's were taken without people realising. Including some of our table doubling over laughing. There was also a candid shot, taken from behind, of me, Lauren and Georgia walking into the restaurant which I absolutely adored. I quickly uploaded a few to my Instagram, making sure to tag Beth England for photos credits.
"You got the photos?" Lauren asked, "nevermind," she finished, laughing slightly, obviously getting the notification of me tagging her, "that second one is incredible. England's got some skills."
The 'second one' that Lauren was taking about was a photo taken from behind Leah and Georgia, so they were focused in the foreground, but blurred out in the back was me, Keira, Lucy and Lauren. Giggling our heads off.
"That's my favourite I think. Or the first one."
"Definitely." Lauren replied, readjusting herself into the bed. She rolled over to face me, "Are you sure everything's alright?"
"Lauren." I started, smiling, "I'm okay."
"Promise?" She questioned,
"I promise."
