Joong-Gil stared at his office door.

He knew she wouldn't show up, but he couldn't help but long for her to show up. For whatever reason, even if she only came to curse him, hit him, or tell him how much she hated him.

Regret was eating him up inside. He hadn't changed his opinion about Koo Ryeon, or what he thought about people who committed suicide, however he regretted immensely what he had said to Si-eun. He regretted it as soon as he saw the way she looked at him.

Now there was nothing more to be done.

He had hurt her, and she probably didn't want to see him ever again. There was no point in going after her.

But... a part of him kept thinking about going to her office, getting down on his knees and begging her to forgive him.
To stop hating him.

God, when had he started to like her so much?

Months ago she was just a stranger, an impertinent woman. And now he couldn't imagine living without her. How was this possible?

He sighed, turning his attention back to the papers on the table. He needed to concentrate on his work. He needed to stop thinking about her.

After a few minutes, however, someone opened the door and entered his office.

Joong-Gil raised his head, longing to see Si-eun there. However, what he found was the human who worked with her.

Turning his attention to the papers in his hands, he tried to hide the disappointment he felt.

— What is it?

— Please, help.

Joong-Gil looked at him briefly upon hearing that unusual request.

Jun-woong swallowed hard.

— Me? Why should I help you?

— No. Ms. Koo.

That captured his attention. He looked up at the human in front of him, leaning back against the back of the chair he was sitting in.

— Why should I help Koo Ryeon?

— You know everything that's going on.

— It's all according to the rules.

— But... Please, help. - Jun-woong insisted.

Joong-Gil scoffed. It was ridiculous.

— Koo Ryeon deceived me. No, It's my own fault for letting a criminal like that by my side.

Jun-woong frowned, incredulous at what he had said.

— A criminal? You... you're really are a bastard! Who's fault is that Ms. Koo's in this situation?

Joong-Gil looked at him seriously, irritation visible in his gaze. Who did that human think he was?

Joong-Gil teleported, appearing in front of Jun-woong, and grabbed him by the neck, lifting him so that Jun-woong was suspended in the air.

— What did you say? - he asked, not believing that he would dare to say that again.

— You... you're really are a bastard!

That was enough to make Joong-Gil even more angry.

He threw the human against the wall with all the force he possessed. Joong-Gil took a step towards him, but stopped when he heard a voice.

— What are you doing? Are you crazy?!

Looking toward the entrance, his eyes widened slightly when he saw Si-eun standing there, glaring at him angrily.
