Because Winnie wouldn't fool themselves. Being friends with George put you on this pedestal. Like you had to be the perfect person to his fans or you weren't worthy of his attention and time and that others and fans deserved it more than you. And Winnie was far from perfect.

Their mother had abandoned them at the rip age of eighteen. Told her "you're an adult now you don't need me. I have better things waiting for me in France. Good luck." Making young Winnie sob in George's house in his mothers arms asking what they did to make their mother leave so soon.

Whilst their dad had passed away when they were young. Winnie didn't have parents to teach them things, like how to do taxes or how to apply for a visa. They had to google it or ask others. Winnie was mental damage. And if George's fans looked hard enough they'd see it and agree Winnie didn't deserve George at all.

Eventually george called it a day leaving the discord call giving his full attention to the girl sitting next to him. "Hey." He said smiling making Winnie smile back. "Hi! So I've got a funny story to tell you." She said making George raise a brow motioning to the couch.

Winnie walked over to it sitting criss cross staring straight at the boy who leaned back on the couch sighing. "Go on tell me." George said making Winnie nod. "So I got to school and bumped into someone right? And they looked at my jumper than me and said "you like georgenotfound too?" George they like love your content!"

George's eyes widened making Winnie shrink back scared. "Holy shit. Did they notice you? Did they give you a hard time?" George asked instantly worrying about the girl cause Winnie to smile softly. "Nope! They were actually so sweet and I got their number and hung out with them at lunch. She seems like such a chill person that I think could be a good fit for my friend group." Winnie said deep in thought.

George released a shaky breath he didn't know he was holding in. "That's great. I was so worried they were like mean and knew you from last night." George said making Winnie hum. "They probably missed that stream but I'm sure they'll watch the vod than text me and freak out." Winnie said laughing.

George raised a brow confused why they seemed so calm at being recognized by someone who seemed to be a big fan of his. "That's going to be awesome, imagine the texts "holy shit Winnie you know George? As a friend?" God I'm going to die of laughter just thinking about it!" Winnie said laughing to the point of tears rolling down their face.

George scoffed shaking his head. "Im glad being friends with me is amusing to you." George joked making Winnie laugh harder resting their hand on George's shoulder making him blush lightly but joining in with the girls laughter.

"It's- not- ah- that! It's just that, she's going to look like a shocked puppy next time I see her at school!" Winnie said taking deep breaths to calm themselves down making George shake his head smiling. "You're a dork win." He said making Winnie smile up at him. "Says you nerd." Winnie said poking his cheek making George scoff.

He looked over to Winnie noticing how close the two had gotten during the girls laughing fit. He could analyze their freckles and count how many there were. George's breathing stopped. He could only focus on the distance between them and the feeling of the girls finger on his cheek.

Winnie pulled herself out of her laughter noticing how close the two were. Her breath hitched staring at George's brown eyes that were wide amusement and something else hidden behind his thick lashes. Winnie felt like a deer in headlights frozen at the scene.

Their finger still on George's cheek softly pressed against his soft flesh cheeks that had turned bright pink. "I- um sorry." Winnie said going to move their finger away. But before they could fully pull it away George grabbed it. Never losing eye contact with the girl. "Don't be." He said his voice coming out more raspy than normal.

Winnie shivered closing their eyes for half a second then looking back at the boy. She watched the way George's eyes scanned her face analyzing every detail. Eventually his eyes drifted to their lips. Winnie gulped looking down at their hands.

George still had their finger wrapped in his hand while his other hand was sat on her knee. Winnie didn't know when it got their but they weren't going to complain. George's breath fanning her face cause the girl to look back up at him. He'd gotten even closer if that was possible.

Their lips extremely close by this point. If Winnie didn't have chills on their arms before they definitely did now. Staring into George's brown eyes Winnie felt safe and secure. "Is this okay?" George asked making Winnie hold back a groan. He was asking her if they were okay with him being this close.

"Yes." Winnie breathed out making George smile. "Win. Can I kiss you?" He asked his eyes closing then opening again looking into the girls eyes rather than her lips like he was just a second ago. "God please do." Winnie said.

That's all it took for George to close the distance putting his lips on hers. It's was soft and sweet testing the waters. Winnie was the one who deepened it. Feeling nothing but want and need. The need to feel George's lips on theirs more. The need to be closer to him to feel him so close that they felt ill at it.

It seemed George felt the same way moving both his hands up to her face pulling her closer. While Winnie's hands moved to his waist pulling him so close they were almost on top of him. Eventually Winnie pulled away to breath. Breaths so shaky it almost concerned George. "You are a great kisser Mr. Not found. Holy fuck."

With those words george laughed crashing his lips back onto the girls wanting to taste her lips again feeling nothing but endearment for the girl he'd grown up with and was sat in-front of him kissing him. Complimenting him making him feel so happy he could cry. He just wanted to relish this moment forever. Trap it in a jar and never lose it.
