'I made sure to say Anytime Miss Gilbert every day because I wanted to tell you every day that I loved you.'
'Oh Jill.'
'When I said I'd never been in love before..' Holtz whispered, 'I lied. Coz I was in love with you.'
Erin let a few more tears fall, and she choked on her breath a little and she nodded.
'When you asked me about the most romantic thing someone had done for me. I wanted to tell you it was us dancing, that first time. That was the most romantic thing anyone has done for me.'
Holtzmann's eyes creased, her eyes welling with tears now.
'But' Erin whispered, 'then you kept topping it. The picnic, the secret cinema, more dancing, holding me when I asked to fall asleep with you. You are romance Jill. You are my silly romance.'
Holtzmann just stared at Erin, her hand reaching to wipe her tears, as her own fell from her eyes.
'Anytime Miss Gilbert.'
Erin let out a sob, clasping the blonde's face and they kissed slowly, lips tainted with tears, hands stroking hair and faces. They parted, Holtz planting small kisses to the woman's lips, and they just held each other, faces together, skin touching.
They were quiet, as though both burning the moment into a memory, Holtz tucking it into the box of Erin, the one that was now overflowing, and she knew she could now unpack it.
'Things would have been a lot easier if we had just given into our feelings you know.' Erin said with a grin.
'Oh, I know, trust me. I had Abby and Patty talk to me about it, not once but twice.'
Erin snorted, 'They're the best friends we could ask for huh, looking out for us.'
Holtzmann nodded.
'Erin?'
'Mmm?"
The brunette stroked the woman's cheek, their faces still close.
'Why do you like dancing so much?' Holtz asked softly, 'You always asked me.'
Erin smiled, 'I don't, I really dislike it actually.'
'Whaaaa?' Holtzmann said, her mouth opening wide, and she pulled back a little.
'I only wanted to dance because I liked dancing with you. I liked your arms around me. It was an excuse...to touch you.'
Holtzmann scrunched her face up tight, 'You like me sooooooo much,' she said, making a little cutesy voice and Erin laughed at her.
'I, uhh danced...I danced with him...a couple times...now that I look back it was to compare,' Erin shrugged, 'I was comparing. I didn't enjoy it with him, only you.'
Holtzmann smiled, poking Erin in the stomach hard.
'Dancing is my favourite thing to do with you...well...I mean so far,' the blonde said with a goofy smile.
Erin grinned, her face flushed, and her eyes darted away.
'Hey,' the blonde said softly, 'we can take everything as slow as you want to..'
She nodded, leaning in and kissing Holtz, pulling her close, and they kissed softly, eyes closed, Erin's fingers dragging down her arm.
'I should go,' Erin murmured and she pulled away, 'I'll be really quick though, I'm going to take a cab.'
Holtzmann nodded, ' You don't have to be quick Er, I'm not going anywhere, I'm yours.'
Erin laughed softly, 'You know what I mean.'
