Holtz smiled at hearing the word relationship.
'So, I can call you my girlfriend?'
Erin nodded.
'I've never had a girlfriend before,' Erin said quietly.
'Well, I am the best of the best Erin, so you have made a good choice.'
Erin laughed, rolling onto her back.
'Get back here,' Holtz said, tugging at Erin's arm, and the woman rolled back, closer this time, planting kisses to the blonde's lips, the engineer kissing her back, stroking the dark locks with her fingers. They kissed softly, there was no rush, there was no timer ticking, they had all the time in the world, in their word, the one that was being newly created. Born. Discovered. Erin parted her lips, never having to wonder what it felt like to kiss the blonde, all the times she'd witnessed her with other women, wondering, curious. Now aware it wasn't ever curiosity, but in fact jealously. The way her fingers grazed their jaw, now she was feeling it, feeling fingers touch her own skin, her own jaw and it was more perfect than she could have ever imagined. Holtzmann kissed with all of her, her entire being and their lips moved together, a perfect union.
Patty was suddenly standing in the doorway and the two pulled away from each other, looking up from the bed.
'We. Can. Hear. You. Kissing,' Patty said, a blank look on her face and she pulled the door closed.
Erin and Holtzmann burst out laughing, and the blonde winced in pain again, managing to at least call out to Patty, 'Get used to it Patty Cakes.'
Holtz grimaced, letting out a small groan.
'Those meds will kick in shortly okay,' Erin whispered, as she stopped laughing, gritting her teeth, her fingers trailing the woman's cheek.
Holtz nodded, still chuckling a little, but pain evident on her face.
'Er?'
'Yeah?'
'We're going to sleep in the same bed tonight, together.'
Erin nodded.
'Is it weird I'm a a little nervous about that?'
Erin laughed softly, 'We've fallen asleep a few times together now.'
'Yeah,' Holtz said, wiggling her hand into the brunettes, 'but this is different.'
'Yeah, it is, and it's going to be different, perfect because we can do it now.'
Erin brought Holtzmann's hand to her lips and pressed a kiss.
'Will you just cuddle with me for a bit?'
Erin nodded, 'Of course.'
'I miss cuddling with you.'
'Me too, I miss you all the time,' Erin smiled softly, sliding her arms around her carefully, 'I always missed you.'
'That morning you woke,' Erin smiled as she spoke, 'when you panicked, having your arm around me.'
Holtz let out a small sigh in response.
'I woke up and felt your arm around my waist, and I loved it. I just stared at you for a little, I loved the feeling. Of having you hold me.'
'Yeah?'
'Yeah.'
'I wanted to give you so many kisses when I would hold you on the couch you know. I had to hold back.'
'Me too, I mean I wanted you to.'
'That night when you came home and asked to fall asleep on the couch with me?'
