Chapter 7: Such a Good Mom

"More specifically," Mrs. Chrysanthe Hanasaki continued, "we will be learning about the biology of flowers."

Well, alright, this was still real science, but Teddy supposed it was too much to hope that the teacher wouldn't try to cater to her own interests. It wasn't just her last names that had to do with flowers. From her fashion designs to her daughters' names, Mrs. Chrysanthe Hanasaki was obsessed with flowers.

After a whole period filled with learning about the anatomy of flowers, the class soon came to a close. Luckily for Dora and David, it seemed as if the partner work wouldn't start on the first day. All they did during the first day was watch Mrs. Chrysanthe Hanasaki's presentation and take notes. Of course, it was inevitable that such a self absorbed individual would occasionally stray off topic from the lesson and talk about herself, but surprisingly, as long as she didn't lose her temper, Mrs. Chrysanthe Hanasaki was a more capable teacher than Teddy expected her to be.

As she packed up her stuff for the next class, Teddy noticed Dora and Sawyer gathering back around her. Looking a tiny bit uncomfortable at the angry aura that was currently coming off of Dora, Ellie quickly excused herself and left.

"Sorry about what happened, Dora," Sawyer said, to which Teddy nodded in agreement. She understood why Dora was so upset. There were many people Teddy remembered from her past who got on her nerves, including people who she had to do group projects with in middle school. Considering how much Dora seemed to hate David, she must be feeling even worse than Teddy did back then.

All of a sudden, Dora blinked and the angry aura that was coming off of her subsided, almost as if she hadn't realized that her anger was showing until then. She still shot one last glare to David upon hearing an "Aw seriously" nearby, which Teddy also had to admit was annoying, but she soon shook her head at Sawyer to deny that an apology was needed.

"Lo siento," Dora said, apologizing instead.

"Oh," Sawyer said, obviously not expecting that she would be apologized to. "Ah, don't worry, Dora, it's okay."

Teddy quickly typed into her AAC app. "I don't blame you. His 'Aw seriously's are annoying."

Dora's mouth twitched upwards before resuming its normal neutral position. However, Sawyer looked at Teddy worriedly.

"Teddy, what if he hears?" Sawyer asked.

Teddy shrugged, trying to convey "What? It's true," in her expression. However, since she didn't have a mirror, she couldn't tell how effective it was. Oh well, if she did convey it properly, it would be redundant to just type it into the AAC app, so she better not. Besides, she was now finished packing all of her stuff and so, the three of them should exit the room already. Come to think of it, they were the only ones still here as of now, aside from the teacher. They better hurry.

As Teddy, Dora, and Sawyer made their way outside of the classroom, Teddy was surprised to see Fleur right outside the classroom. Warily, Teddy kept herself at a distance, but the girl who had once mocked Teddy for her inability to talk seemed to ignore her and instead barged into the room. Teddy didn't mean to eavesdrop, but she had sensitive ears and both mother and daughter had loud voices, so she couldn't help but hear a certain exchange as she and her friends left the classroom.

"Mom, look, I'm early to your class! Now, since nobody else is here to take away your attention, let me show you my newest design-"

"Fleur, didn't I tell you? I'm busy. Besides, are you still trying to make those sweaters work? Honey, just stick to being beautiful model for your mom's designs. That's what suits you most."

Yeah, such a good mom to her two daughters. As if.

Author's Note: Flower Speaker Box only showed up for like one episode and died, near the peak of Season One Flower's villain arc, with the exact personality of her creator at the time of her creation. So, in summary, all that was shown of her was an extremely bad side and nothing else. Which means that writing her gives me free reign to go as wild and terrible as I want to.

Also, finally, all the members of Teddy's year have been named. Yes, that is a small amount of people for one year of school- no, it's a small amount of people for even just one class in a school- but this is a really small school which is only on its second year since opening.

Anyway name guide:

Fleur is Flower and Flora is Robot Flower (although between the people who know she's a robot, they call her Robo Fleur)

Mrs. Chrysanthe Hanasaki is Flower Speaker Box.

Claude Himmel is Cloudy and David is, well, David, obviously.

A few reference explanation things:
Claude's a reporter because in the Halloween special, Pumpkin 2.0, Cloudy was the reporter, if I remember correctly.
Teddy remembers Leah and Penelope whispering bad things about Fleur because in Season One, Episode 1a, Leafy whispered to Pin about "the evil Flower" still being in and then they both created a plan to push her off the beam.
Teddy mentioned Fleur mocking her for not being able to talk because in Season One, Episode 1b, Flower called Teardrop stupid for not being able to talk.
