'Jill,' Erin said breathlessly, 'that was incredible. I can't believe, I mean, when? When did you make that?'
'The last couple nights,' she said with a shrug, walking over to the drone and picking it up, walking it back over to the door, setting the iPad down with it and turning back to the woman.
'I was only telling Josh the other night how much of a genius you are, and now look at this.'
'Oh, you're talking about me with your man eh?'
Holtzmann laughed softly and Erin blushed.
'Maybe.'
Holtz snorted, looking at Erin.
'You heading home? Or were you planning on staying here?'
'Uhh maybe.'
'Maybe..to which?'
'Um..'
'Want to watch a movie?'
Erin nodded, 'Yeah, yes that'd be good.'
The physicist walked over to the drone, picking it up, surprised at its lightness in weight and Holtz picked up the iPad and they walked back into the Firehouse, stopping into their lab to put the machines away.
'You look really good by the way Er,' Holtz said softly, as Erin walked ahead of her down the stairs, her legs exposed in the dress she'd chosen to wear, her strappy nude heels tapping softly on the stairs.
Erin turned her head slightly, pausing with a smile as she walked down the steps.
'Thanks Holtz.'
'Those heels comfy to walk in?'
Erin laughed, as she reached the ground floor, stopping to turn to the woman, and she lifted her leg slightly, releasing the pressure on her foot.
'Not at all.'
Holtz bent down in front of the woman, gently tapping the shoes and she began to undo the small buckles that sat on either side of her ankles, easing the straps out of their closures.
'Off,' she said taking the back of one of the shoes, as Erin lifted her foot, leaning forward, her hand resting on the blonde's shoulder as she giggled softly. The engineer taking the shoes off Erin's feet and placing them to the side, she stood up, facing her colleague, and Erin smiled at her, a blush on both their cheeks.
Erin pattered barefoot towards the couch quickly, the floor cold but soothing on her sore feet and she sunk into the couch, Holtz leaping over the back and landing roughly next to her. Erin chuckled, almost as though nervous, pulling the blankets that were on the arm of the sofa, and unfolding them, throwing them over their two bodies. Holtz kicked off her boots and grabbed the remote.
'What you wanna watch?'
'Anything Jill.'
The brunette curled herself up in the blankets, letting out a wince and she sat back up, digging into the pocket of her dress, pulling out the knife and placing it on the arm of the couch, curling back up.
'For protection?' Holtz said with a laugh, pulling the blanket up to her chin, as Erin looked at her and the blonde nodded over to the knife.
'Ohhh,' Erin said, looking toward it, then returning to her snuggled position on the couch. 'No, I just, it's like...it's a good luck thing I guess, a little charm.'
Holtzmann nodded, 'Is that why you play with it when you're stressed?'
Erin nodded into the blanket, 'Yeah it calms me.'
