Chapter 1

I was bouncing my leg under the table of the restaurant I was at.

This was the day that the guys were finally coming home.

Despite my begging and pleading, Jinxx wouldn't let me come get them. I haven't seen them since they've gotten here, and I was so excited, but also nervous.

I don't know why I get nervous before I see them, but I do. I feel like they're going to find out something and hold it against me.

I know they would never do that, but still.

I kept bouncing my leg as my stomach twisted into knots from anxiety. I hated restaurants. I hadn't been to one since the guys left on tour, because what's the point if you don't eat?

I let out a shaky breath just as a pair of hands covered my eyes, blocking my vision.

"Did you miss me, sweetheart?" a low voice asked. The smell of bubble mint and aftershave filled my nose and I knew immediately who it was.

"Oh my god!! ASHLEY!!!" I screamed and jumped up, whirling around.

There he was.

I smiled huge and he opened his arms, inviting me for a hug. I gladly accepted the invitation.

I jumped into his arms and he squeezed me super tight. "I missed you so much, Em.." he whispered. "I missed you too, Ashy.." I whispered back. We continued hugging until someone cleared their throat.

I glanced up from Ashley's shoulder, and there were the other four, smiling hugely at me.

My eyes widened and Ashley released me. I squealed and jumped into Andy's arms, causing him to stumble a bit, but he regained his balance. He chuckled. "I knew you would miss me the most," he said with that super-deep voice of his. "Uh, DUH!! You're my bff!" I exclaimed. He pretended to flip his hair with sass and snapped his fingers. "You know it giiiiirrrl!" he said, imitating a teenage girl. It was all I could do not to laugh my ass off.

After I contained myself, I moved on to Jake. He opened his arms, and enveloped me in them. He literally hugs like a giant teddy bear. "How are you, Em?" he asked. "Better now Jakey.." I whispered. I really was so happy that they were all back.

After Jake let me go, I moved to CC who, of course, picked me up and spun me around. "Embery!! I MISSED YOU SO SOOOOO MUCH!!" he yelled, squeezing the living daylight out of me.

"CC... I can't.. breath.." I wheezed out. He immediately loosened his grip, making me fall out of his arms. "Sorry sorry sorry," he rushed out. I smiled. "It's okay Ceece" (which is my nickname for him, pronounced 'see-s'). He smiled back and hugged me again, but gently this time.

"I really did miss you, Emby" (his nickname for me, pronounced 'Em-bee'). I nuzzled my face in his hair. "I missed you too, CC..." I whispered.

He released his grip on me, and I finally moved on to Jinxx.

He didn't say anything, he just smiled and pulled me into a hug and gently stroked my hair. There's nothing like a hug from your rockstar brother who's been away from you for 4 months.

I rested my chin on his shoulder and smiled. "I missed you so much, Jinxxy.." I whispered. I felt him smile bigger. "I missed you so so much too, Em.." he whispered back.

We stayed like that for another minute or so, before letting go of each other. All of the guys were already seated in the booth, so we joined them. I sat on the inside beside Jake and across from Ashley.

We were chatting and joking as if they had never left, and were here every day.

I had missed this so much. All of it. Every second with these guys was precious to me.
