Sebastian smiled as he watched Y/n chased bubbles in the backyard of his mother's house while carrying Starlene in her arms. They were visiting his mother's house that day. His step sister Sarah was in New York with her family for Thanksgiving. Sarah's daughter Charlotte was blowing bubbles while her brother Nate and Y/n chased them around. Sebastian sat on the porch watching them, his mother sat beside him.

"She blends in very well with our family." Sebastian's mother said referring to Y/n.

"Yeah she does." Sebastian smiled.

"Well.. what are you waiting for then Sebby honey? Make it official." His mother said, staring at him with a meaningful look on her face.

"I.. uh.. yeah, I've been thinking about it actually. For a while now." Sebastian said.

"And?" She asked.

"Can I ask you something, mom?" He asked, turning to look at her.

"Of course. What do you want to ask Sebby honey?" She said.

"How did you know if marrying dad or Aaron was the right thing to do?" He asked.

His mother sighed. "Well, with your dad I feel we rushed into it too soon. I had only known him for a year before deciding to marry him. We were in love. You know how that is, right?"

Sebastian nodded.

"Sometimes I wish we had taken the time to get to know each other more. Ask each other the right questions before we get married. But we weren't experienced in the whole thing. Things just didn't work out after awhile." She said with a sad look on her face.
