14. THE VOWS

" Wait a minute Mrs.kim. Let's have a word before you leave." Iris held Aera's wrist trying to stop her.

Iris flashed a warm smile after sending the wetness of Aera's palms. She then rummaged through a shelf and brought a satin coloured small box.

" This is for our first session.", She smiled and placed it in Aera's hand and leaned further over her ear," I wouldn't mind being your friend and I believe you know that Friends don't lie to each other."

Aera pressed her lips together into a thin line and clutched the box in her hands. Passing a last glance and bowing in respect she left.

Passing over the corridors she peeped into the rooms through the glass across the hallway. People sat in their chairs and their stood a man doing something. She wondered what a man is doing in the club.

Soon their eyes met for a brief moment and she turned her gaze away.

" Do you need someone?", His voice echoed over the glasses as the people turned their gazes towards her.

She shook her head in denial and walked away through which she came earlier and failed to notice the rooms.
She rummaged through her purse and dialled to her husband. Soon the line went alive when she placed the phone over her ear.

" Hello, You comin' ", She inquired as she occupied a space on the chairs aligned near the reception desk.

" You are done?", He questioned over the line and motioned his secretary to leave with his another hand.

" I guess so. ", She mumbled suiting herself on her chair.

" Richard will pick you up and don't forget straight to home. ", She hummed in response. Soon the line went dead. She immersed herself in scrolling. Not a moment later she felt a presence infront of her.

" Shall we leave ma'am ", Her ears reached those words. Occupying her seat she leaned towards the window and recalled Iris words. She searched for the box that she kept in her purse while walking through the corridors.

She held the satin coloured box in her hand contemplating whether to open or not. Being a curious cat she is, she opened the box.

A smiley pendant aadorned the white fabric placed over the box. A smile made it's way towards her face the moment her eyes laced on it.

With in the moments their surroundings turned isolated, the city chaos soon turned into sheer silence.

A fifteen minute isolated ride led her through the familiar gates. The greenery surrounded her and soon came into the view of the fountain. She plopped herself on the couch and took the drink offered by Jaewan.

Her mobile illuminated with her dad name tag, she attended her call with a smile adorning her face.

" So, how was my cupcake's first session? ", He inquired with a hint of glee.

" Not bad."

" Have you troubled your therapist again ", Aera's dad seethed sipping his coffee.

" Dad. "

" Okay. Okay cupcake. Easy there. Hope you are doing fine. "

" I'm doing great dad."
