Vikram (Spin off) - I

"Rolex died on 27th June, 2029. He died in a gang war after killing nearly 100 people...  those are what the official records say... Actually,  we received an anonymous tip to a possible massacre Rolex was planning on two of his contemporaries, Nayak and Tsar. We got involved in the meeting, between Rolex and Nayak, after Rolex had killed Nayak and half of his gang. Rolex's gang had also taken a hit and we hit them when they were down. We wiped them out."

Yeah sure, we wiped them out! We wiped out  the 50-100 people that were present there, from both the gangs. There were hundreds more, maybe even thousands more.

But Rolex was gone and at that moment, nothing else mattered!

"That concludes Mission Zero!"

Bejoy looked at Vikram sir, who was still cleaning his revolver without looking up and that was sign to continue.

"Aana Rolex's death created a huge power vacuum... oru alika mudiyadha fill panna mudiyadha power vacuum.  than 

(But, a vacuum that neither could be filled nor could be eradicated.)

"Minji irundha per moonu gangs ah pirinjutaanunga.... Adaikalam took over the Bombay port while Sathaar dominated the Chennai port. Nayak's cartel was Goa based and what's left of it still operates there. Nayak's second in hand Dimitri leads that."

Oh, yeah.... them! Sathaar was out of our hands, he was too discrete and our resources were limited. Adaikalam was our fault, we wanted to use him as a tool, as a pawn and we forgot that this wasn't a chessboard.

Dmitri took over right from under our noses. He was supposed to dead. We wanted him dead too. 

But Vikram sir didn't! He told us to keep pushing them into a corner discreetly, to cut off their edges without them knowing, to give them a false freedom. 

Because according to him, there might be a bigger picture. And there was! 

"Tsar.... 

He is the Chief  Rookie of India's drug cartel. He is more dangerous than all three of them combined. Maybe even more dangerous than Rolex himself. Because-"

"Because he was the one who tipped us!" 

We all looked at Vikram sir, who looked up to meet our eyes. Then he continued....

"Tsar is dangerous because he isn't brash like Rolex. He is smart and evil. He knew we were tailing Rolex. He knew Rolex was planning a take over. He knew and he waited."

That was the thing about Tsar, he destroyed an entire empire without a single drop of blood on his hands.

One stone, and he took out Rolex, he took out Nayak, he took out half of our resources and impaled the government forces for a while.

Vikram sir put down the revolver.

"If Sathaar and Dimitri are meeting, then it could be big...  as big as Tsar. Our plan seems to have worked. Each of them is a menace, but Tsar is a disease. Avan thaan namma target... If all goes well, we're going to start a war boys... Be prepared!"
