Delilah is a city girl and her life changes completly at the second she steps in her new "home". She left her old home, life and friends behind in London, and that is what makes her upset about Outer Banks.
The only thing she has left is her family. And don't get me wrong, she loves her family. But still, it doesn't change anything.
Her family is rich and that's something she'll hate once she understands the Outer Banks "rules" and the rivalry between the ones with less and the ones with more money.
