— Say hello, everyone. – Koo Ryeon said. — This is the new Reaper in the Escort Team. She'll be working with us.

Looking at the girl accompanying Koo Ryeon, Si-eun smiled as she saw that it was the same grim reaper she had seen earlier.

—Gosh, a newbie? – Jung-woong asked, smiling and looking at everyone in the room. – I used to be like that once too, right?

Si-eun rolled her eyes, not knowing whether to laugh or slap her on the head. Jung-woong was in luck, as she chose the first option.

The rookie bowed, greeting them all.

— Miss Jeon, working at Jumadeung is a bit hard, but don't be nervous. Just relax. Make yourself comfortable.

Si-eun threw a paper ball in his direction, hitting him on the head.

He looked at her, pouting.

— Okay. Thank you.  - The girl looked at all of them. - There are so many nice people in the Risk Management Team.

Seeing Jun-woong pointing at himself, Si-eun stood up, walked toward him and patted him weakly on the back.

— She's not talking about you.

— Hard times really are soon forgotten, I see. – Ryung-gu said.

Si-eun nodded.

— What do you mean? - Jung-woong asked confused.

Koo Ryeon interrupted them, without giving Ryung-gu time to answer, and the team got to work.

— How crazy do you have to be to vandalize this? – Jung-woong asked.

Si-eun, Jung-woong and the rookie were in the park, waiting for Ryung-gu and Koo Ryeon to finish their work.

— I just wish it wasn't a Korean who did this. – The girl said. — Then it would be like being stabbed in the back.

— Don't worry. It sure wasn't.  – Si-eun spoke.

They watched as Jung-woong took off his coat and covered the statue. Si-eun smiled, admiring his gesture.

The three of them sat down on a park bench.

— Are you cold? You shouldn't have taken off your jacket.

Si-eun looked at Jun-woong, worried.

- Do you want to borrow mine?

He denied it, smiling slightly.

- It probably wouldn't fit me. - he replied, and then stared at the girl. - By the way, how did you become a member of the escort team, Miss Jeon? Isn't Mr. Park a little creepy?

Si-eun leaned forward, so that she could see Jun-woong.

- Hey, he's not scary. - she said, frowning.

- You say that because he's your boyfriend. - He teased her.

Si-eun opened her mouth in shock, widening her eyes and feeling her cheeks flush.

- Stop making up lies. Miss Jeon might think it's true.

He laughed, and Si-eun took a deep breath, counting to three to calm herself and not slap him.

The new girl looked at them, laughing lightly.

— I first met Mr. Park during the Japanese Colonial Period. Things were completely bleak during that time. We were mercilessly crushed because our country was weak.

— But isn't the afterworld divided by country too?

— That's right. Back then, things were not easy for Jumadeung either.

Si-eun listened attentively to the young woman's account.

— He's the reason I became a Reaper of Souls.

She felt her heart squeeze as she heard this, and a smile spread across her lips.

- You are going to be an amazing grim reaper. - she said.

The young woman looked at her, smiling.

- Thank you.

Si-eun pressed her lips together, observing the girl, and then hugged her without warning. She didn't know why, she just felt an overwhelming urge to hug this girl.

- I'm sorry. - she said as she let go.

- Don't worry about it.

— I wonder why someone like him hates the RM Team so much. – Jung-woong spoke up.

Si-eun looked at him.

- You know, I don't understand why he hates the RM team so much either.

She hadn't thought about why Joong-Gil hated the prevention team. Maybe she should ask him someday.
