Chapter 11

A/N
So I noticed that there is a chance that Cecily and Gabriel are cousins. That, of course, scared me, but I thought about it a little more and realized that they don't have to be. It may not really work, but let's just say that that Cecily and Gabriel are not related. Okay? Okay!

Cecily's POV

"Sound volume is measured in decibels while pitch is measured in . . . " Mrs. Branwell drowned on. I really should be paying attention, but some idiot teacher decided to put me next to Gabriel. Slow clap for you, Mrs. Branwell.

Now, all I can focus on is Gabriel's breathing, because it crammed into one of the stupid three people desks, right next to me.

I'm not complaining though. I quite enjoy my seat, it's just very distracting.

Clary, who sits on the other side of me, passed me a note. It said, 'you're drooling' wow, clary, wow.

'Shut up! You stare at Jace all class too, you know' I wrote back. When clary read it she rolled her eyes.

"Ms. Herondale, what's the answer?" Uh-oh. Ms. Branwell does not believe i. Favoritism, so I'll have to answer this.

"Decibels." I try to sound confident. I guess I was right, because Mrs. Branwell 'hmphed' and went back to teaching. Phew!

"Nice save" i stiffened, Gabriel just whispered that to me. Gabriel!

"Um th-thanks" I stuttered. I mentally groaned, why am I so embarrassing! Gabriel winked at me!!!!!! OMG! OMG! OMG! Be cool, Cecily, be cool.
I put on my most flirty smile and winked back.

Did he just blush?!? No. No. I must be my imagination.

Gabriel leaned over. "Do you want to go out with me?"

My brain shut down for a few seconds. Think Cecily! Think! Okay . . .

"Yeah sure!" Was that to enthusiastic? It was too enthusiastic. But Gabriel didn't seem to notice, he just smiled and looked back at the front of the room.

A/N
So there it is . . . This isn't my favorite chapter, but I really needed to update. Going along with this, I'm really sorry I didn't update this, (1) I have writers block (2) I'm working on my writing SOL, so I'm already writing ALL THE TIME at school so . . . But OMG!! This book has 725 views! FIFTY VOTES!! YOU GUYS ARE SOO AWESOME! Again, I'm really sorry and I'll try to update ASAP!
