Friday.

Probably one of the easiest days of the week.

Normally.

I woke up that morning with only one thought in mind.

That house.

I honestly debated going to school that morning and going straight to that house after school.
However, I knew my parents would be worried sick if they found out I didn't go.

So after school it is.

I quickly got ready and headed downstairs.
I was about to head out the door before my mom stopped me.

"Hey! Where are you going?" She asked

I raised my brow, "To school? I don't want to be late."

"I meant," She picked up a granola bar from behind her. "Where are you going without eating something first?"

I walked over to where she was standing in the kitchen, grabbed the bar, and before I knew it she pulled me into a hug.

"Be safe, my love." she said, resting her chin on the top of my head.

"Always." I replied

We stayed like that for a minute or so until she let me go, teary eyed.

Oh mom.

"Mom. I'll be fine. Don't worry" I told her, reassuringly

She nodded and smacked my shoulder playfully, "Alright, get out of here!"

I laughed and walked out the door.

I got to school that morning and something felt off.
Maybe it's because Robin isn't here.

I didn't think too much about it until class was cut short for an assembly.

I sat next to Gwen and asked, "Any idea why we're having this assembly?"

"I think I may have an idea." She said, sadly.

"Hey, are you-" I began to say until some girl on the bleacher below me shushed me.

"Unfortunately, two of our students Robin Arellano and Finney Shaw, are missing."

What? Finn too?

Everyone turned their heads to look at Gwen and me.

So that's why Gwen looked upset.

When everyone stopped staring, I turned to Gwen.

"Are you okay?" I whispered

She nodded slightly, "I guess. It didn't help that I had to find out about this over the phone."

I frowned. Poor Gwen.

I lost my friend, but she lost her brother.

The assembly ended soon after that.

While everyone got up and walked out of the gym, Gwen and I stayed on the bleachers.

"Are you free after school? I want to talk to you about something." I told her

"Yeah I am. What's up?" She said

"I think I know where to find Finn. And hopefully Robin too." I said

Her eyes widened, "Really?"

I nodded. "We have to get to class now but meet me outside after school. I'll tell you more about it there."

She smiled and hugged me. "Thank you."

"Of course."

We broke the hug and she got up and started walking to class.

I stayed on the bleachers for a bit just staring at the wall in front of me.

As much as I didn't want to think about it, deep down I knew,

If Finn's missing now,

Robin is probably dead.
