phoenix gently reassured as miles cling onto him, hiding his face in his shoulder, shaking violently, this was a common occurrence for the two, they both had PTSD and unfortunately, it caused some nightmares to appear here and there, so this routine was almost regular for them

took a while for miles to finally stop shaking, phoenix gently placed his head and moved it to his chest, having him listen to his heartbeat, something mia always did with him whenever he had panic attacks, she would guide his hand to her chest to where her heartbeat was to feel the rhythm

miles nodded as he closed his eyes and concentrated on the soothing beat, soon, his started to match his own, when he was at a complete calm, miles still had his head on his chest, clinging onto him

miles cried out as phoenix just nodded, sitting on his lap as the two sat on the comfy ground in the living room, miles was currently ranting to him about the newest steel samurai episode that came out last week, which was apparently one of it's worst episodes, he even went as far to show the episode to phoenix and explain in detail what went wrong, while occasional snuggling him closer with his one arm wrapped around his waist, 

'and then they just end it like that!!, absolutely no explanation to anything?!!'

phoenix muttered back, he was never really into the show, but he still watched it with miles and maya to keep them company and to show his support

'an entire week of anticipation, just leading up to nothing!!, nothing!!'

he cried out again as he pointed at the now paused tv, phoenix hmmed in agreement as he laid his head on his shoulder, wrapping his arms around his collarbone and neck

he huffed as he sighed, kissing phoenix's cheek
