"You wanna drive or should I?"

My question is answered when Cas tosses me the keys to his vehicle. I catch them and unlock it.

"Something strong for the both of us, alright? Thanks."

I ended up driving both me and Cas to a bar. I think we needed a drink, which is probably a bad idea. But hopefully both drunk me and Cas will sleep in the car at least. If Cas gets drunk, and if we have the money for it.

"And how are you, handsome?"

Both Cas and I looked to see a beautiful woman, who seemed to have taken an interest in the angel. He shakes his head. "Not interested, sorry," he rejects her. She looks a little offended but didn't back off and instead, she sat down right next to him. "I promise I don't bite! Unless that's what you like~"

She scoots closer to Cas, who slides away. I try not to smile as he tries to get away, unfortunately we were in a booth, so he was trapped. And damn, do I feel like a douche for thinking it's funny.

I realized it was getting to far when she tried touching Cas inappropriately, in which he called out, "S-sam, help!"

He tried pushing her away, but she wouldn't budge. So, I got up and pulled her back. "No means no. Leave him alone, please."

She glared at me for a moment, before storming off. I sit down next to Cas as he tries to compose himself. "You alright?" I ask him, rubbing his shoulder. He nods, sighing softly. "You could've pushed her away, y'know."

"I could have. . . but- I did say no! I was being nice about it too."

"Sometimes it won't work like that."

"Right. . ."

The waitress was surprised to see Cas and I in the same seat, but said nothing about it as she gave us our drinks. But, instead of leaving, she asked, "It was Melanie, wasn't it?"

"Hm?"

"Did a girl come by here earlier, flirty, a little pushy, maybe grabby?"

"Uh, yeah."

"Let me guess. She went after the small one?"

"Yep."

The waitress sighed, rolling her eyes. "I'm sorry about her. I told her to stay away from customers! I'll talk to her. Anyway, did you want to order something else?"

"Um, no. We're good for now!"

The waitress nodded and left. I took a sip of my drink while Cas turned to me, confused. I gently put the bottle down and snickered, knowing what he was about to ask. "Am I small?"

I took a deep breath, and tried to speak without laughing at him. "Not really, your a bit taller than the average man's height, but yeah. Your short."

Cas turns away and starts drinking.

I snicker as I look at Cas, thinking about something funny he said, about to take another gulp before he grabs my wrist. "That's enough for you," he reminds me, "and besides, we need to go back home. Before Dean-"

"Dean can go fuck himself for the moment. The way he treats you is not okay."

"We've had this conversation before Sam-"

"You don't have any self respect, do you? That's why you didn't push that bitch away. Any person in their right mind, any person that actually cared about their own well-being, would've shoved her away. You would've given in if it weren't for me. You would've let Dean beat the shit out of you if it weren't for me! Don't you think I deserve something in return?"

"Where is this coming from?"

I grab Cas's tie and pull him close, then whisper, "I have been doing this shit for far too long Cas. For you. I don't want anything from you, I just want you to grow a spine and stand up for yourself. Please. . ."

I let go of his tie, leaning away. Cas sits silently for a moment, then says, "Give me the keys, and stand up. We're going home, Sam." I did as he said, shrugging. Maybe he will do something about his and Dean's problem.

A.N. - I noticed the amount of Castiel ship one-shots I have made. I don't know if I'm going to be stopping anytime soon, so don't be surprised. Anyway, this one-shot was created upon the inspiration of a screen rant, it created a headache, in which I got rid of by writing this.

Any who, I hope you all have a good day/night and stay safe!
